Honeystore Flower Lace Parasols for Wedding Party Lace Bridal Umbrella

The embroidery was lovely, though the actual shade/coverage area was smaller than expected. Probably comfortable for an small woman. Arrived with cracked finial/cap on top. Customer service promised a replacement, though it has not arrive in more than 5 months. Metal pieces seemed sturdy, though the handle was not very comfortable to hold. It does screw on, so would be relatively easy to switch.

It actually broke after using it maybe 3 times. Im a tour guide and wanted an appropriate way to keep from getting sunburned, but this didnt end up losing more than a week. Specifically, the umbrella wont stay open. You push the little black cylinder up the metal shaft and it just wont catch no matter how many times or how fast you open it. Im not sure if this one is just a dud or if the werent made for use other than something like a wedding, for example. But I gave it 4 stars because other than that it was exactly what I wanted.

Ive only used it twice but, it works great. Its very pretty. My one complaint is the wooden tip broke into 5 pieces. I dont use it as a cane or put it in on the ground so Im not sure how the top broke off.

So I knew I had a wedding coming up that was a country wedding where they were having it on a farm and it was the end of july and from past years I know it will be hot. So I wanted to get umbrellas that would block the sun but went with our dresses. I ended up ordering two different colors. That was interesting as one said it would be there within a week and the other one was three weeks.....but it did make it before the quoted time!!!! Which was for the wedding so it worked out perfectly. They were beautiful and went with the dresses. Blocked the sun great. I would not put these in a full rain down pour but I imagine if it would have sprinkled it would not hurt the fabric. I was worried of it looking cheap but looked beautiful. I can not picture them being used a lot but any time something fancy comes up these will be some beautiful to pull out. Or give to anyone else that might have a wedding coming up or a photographer could use these in their pictures....they are so awesome. Not a big wedding we went to but still received high remarks on them!!!

I ordered the pink lace parasol just to receive a solid pink regular umbrella. Why did I even bothered?

Very awkward & difficult to open. Not worth the hassle.

The umbrella itself is utterly gorgeous once open. Open the picture doesnt do it justice. Once folded and strapped you can carry it in a generously sized medium bag. (Also abig selling point for me.) However (why this isnt 5 stars), the process of open/clos-ing it leaves much to be desired. Manual opening should be simple and be graceful. The struts that fold the canopy should fold the right direction easily. It needs each struct to be manipulated by hand to make it open or close the umbrella. This isnt hard to do, but it is an extra step each way and makes the process neither smooth nor graceful. If the struts ran smoothly, toggling easily in the appropriate direction it would get a 4.5. If it had the inner liner hemmed or edged, it would be a 5. If it had automatic opening (button operation) plus the Hem ...it would be a 6 plus!

You never know what to expect with these, but you cant fault the colors or shininess with this parasol. The folding mechanism is a bit convoluted, as individual arms have to be folded down, and then back up, but its awesome and with a think black plastic layer on the inside of the parasol, does the job of creating shade.
