07-06-2025Since there was no other indication in the description, I assumed through the model number that the wire was 14ga, 3 conductor. Whoops. Its not. The wire is 18-3. Not what I wanted because I am running a subwoofer with it, even though it only draws a few amps at max volume, I wanted it to match the extension wire it will plug into which is 14-3. Otherwise, the product is ok, but less expensive 18-3 right angle IEC to NEMA 5-15P wires can be purchased cheaper on Amazon.

> 3 dayI wanted to take the strain off of a IEC receptacle on my CCTV backup UPS. I couldn’t keep the molding on a straight plug from being impacted by a neighboring conduit: short of a hacked off strain relief and resultant new fire hazard this was the only trick. Thankfully it’s the right handed version for my application, be careful about that when buying!

> 3 dayI used this to power an inlet which was connected behind the wall to a TV outlet. The right angle was important because it’s behind I dresser, but unavailable locally. I would have preferred white, though, but black was the only option.

06-06-2025This is a thin cable, probably good enough for your DVD player, but not your amplifier or any other appliance. Carries max 10A, so you must plug things in less than 1000W!
