bought this to add lights to an ATV the length of the banner(attachment area) and description of product is to add a piece like a strap between clamps to add lights, tools etc. I used them and drilled through and slotted the clamp to put marker lights on them individually. The mounting flange pinch clamp i torqued to 43 inch lbs, and it is very solid. this is with the rubber shim stock installed to make 3/4 -19mm size. I drilled #29 wire gauge and tapped 8-32 threads and attached lights. The clamps have what appear to be stainless screws W/lock washers. This is a product i will purchase again. The top screw of the light i drilled on the edge of the clamp screw with out a total hole the bit came out the contact surface of the cap to the body and i tapped threads all the way through from the outside of the clamp to the inner diameter and only have about 1/8 inch threads and was able to tighten the screws up tight enough to not worry about light coming loose, lots of meat there.

Fit perfect on my stock FJ roof rack. I couldnt use the washers because the bolts that connect the two separate pieces were too short. Fits fine not using the washer. The rubber piece that wraps around the bar locks the clamps in place. No issues so far.

The tube mounts are great! Excellent quality. Ill buy again.

Make the holes 3/8 square instead of 3/8 round, so you can use a carriage bolt.

Well made, good materials, the fastener holes line up nicely, the bolts are of good quality as well, it came with the hex wrench tool, and the rubber inserts have edges to help prevent them from slipping out of place when installing these on a tube. Nothing to dislike. The picture of the product, as of 2/12/2018, is accurate and complete. The inner diameter is an INCH when completely closed and without any rubber gasket material. So if you have a inch diameter tube these will be a little loose without the gaskets. Each gasket is about 1/16th of an inch thick ... it comes with 2 gaskets per clamp, so you have about 1/8th of an inch of spacing. I wish they would come with a thicker set of gaskets too.
