Just plug in four wires and go, works great, what surprises me are the built in speakers. They sound amazingly good. This is written four months later, just got the computer back after one month of repairs, after three months the mother board broke and it has been a nightmare waiting to get fixed. They did fix it though, but if it breaks again I will be buying another brand.

I thought this was a pretty cheap price for a desktop, but I went ahead with it because we just needed a basic family computer to check emails, etc. I have had bad experiences with HP products before, but I thought, its so cheap. Well, you get what you pay for. Right out of the box it had issues, slow startup, apps freeze, sites fail to load. After going through a bunch of troubleshooting I scrubbed the hard drive and reloaded the OS, with no effect on performance. Its just a lemon. Of course, after all this the box/packing is gone and it would be a pain to try to return. I guess HP is hoping, like me, you realize too late that their product is worthless. DO NOT BUY

I love it. Compared to my ancient laptop.

After 1 year since purchasing this HP computer I can say with great accuracy that this purchase was the best I have ever made. As a computer professional most of my life, I smile with a 24 inch screen to read those multi-column spreadsheets. Solid state memory is the only memory I will purchase, makes the startup time in seconds, not minutes. The price i am sure is different now. Having a computer with everything build in eliminated the tower I used to have on the floor getting dirty, dusty and hard to manage. Only the Monitor, keyboard and mouse on desktop keeps my work area very clean and comfortable to use. I did not order the touch screen model, next time. Jack

Very easy to set up. Much faster than our old laptop. Bright screen, good sound and camera. Almost unbeatable for the price.

The Mike/Audio Jack requires a 4-pin plug for headphones rather than a common 3-pin plug. Researched what I needed on Amazon, and was twice disappointed that the Jack would not accept either product - plugs could not be inserted their entirely, rendering both useless. Can anyone recommend a product that should work?
