According to my HP Officejet Pro 8610, the ink is genuine HP ink. The expiration date on all three packages of ink were for early 2019. It is now May 2017.

Exactly what I needed

do yourself a favor. Take your deskjet and office space it. Smash that machine to pieces and get a Printer that only does black and white.
