> 3 dayI have had my ups and downs with two of these machines purchased in January. I set them up with two 1TB Samsung EVO 2.5 inch SATA SSDs in a RAID 1 array. This turned out to be a huge mistake. One of the machines quit working in May. I later learned that the SATA RAID controller on the Z620 motherboard cant handle SSDs in a RAID. The controller destroyed both SSDs at the same time in matter of months.

> 3 dayKudos to StallionTek. Product came exactly as described. 16 cores, 32 threads, 96 Gb of RAM for under $600? Insane! A few scuff marks on the case, but the inside was clean and everything works as it should. Moved all my storage from my old PC to this BEAST! I swapped out the rather low-end Quadro 600 video card with one more current and it is awesome. With this much horsepower Im running a good number of the threads on the BOINC platform for the World Community Grid contributing spare cycles to medical research. Seriously though, this thing is a steal at this price and can be purposed to do a lot of things. Great platform to start from. As I run BOINC in a VM, be aware that the virtualizing is likely off by default (it was on this one), and I had to rummage a bit in the BIOS to turn it back on. All-in-all a great piece of hardware and gives a wow experience using it. Im running Linux Mint 19.2 on it and it flies. :)

> 3 dayMy machine works flawlessly, other than needing a bios battery. Seller was quick to send me a part that he forgot to send with the unit. Its built like a tank! Its a heater in the winter. It only uses about as much power as a top of the line gaming machine. Mine is for work and play. I have a thing for HDD ASMR. I can hear the CPUs making a coil whine type sound, fans blowing, regular techno sqweaks and squawks, HDDs ticking. I love it. I move large zip files from one drive to another and unzip them just for the ASMR. I had to remove that support bracket to fit my MSI Gaming X 12GB RTX 3060. The power cables on the GPU are clear from the side panel if the power cables are bent at a right angle. The Z620 lower section is completely separate from the upper section. I though the GPU might overheat, but I cannot get the GPU above 66°C with anything I try to torture it with. You can see the NVME drive I put in a PCIe X16. This unit will not boot from the NVME, but it makes gaming nice and fast! These machines will be appreciated in the future for what they are / were.

> 3 dayI work in cybersecurity and have a need for something that can run 2 or 3 VMs at one time, and this absolutely fit the bill. The HDD slots made loading drives so easy, and the case is intuitive and easy to work with. The system itself runs well, I havent had any issues with it. I currently have it running Win 2016 server and VMWare Player Pro.

> 3 dayThis thing spins circles around any of my previous rigs. I bought this for the sole purpose of rendering animations in Maya. However, I quickly adapted my office setup to center this machine as my daily driver. One thing I really appreciate is the efficiency of the 2670 Xeon processors. At max CPU usage, this 16-core system creates less heat (and eats less electricity) than my two other 8-core rigs. An important aspect, since I leave my main system up and running for the majority of the day.
