> 3 dayI had bought the cosmos elite that came with two base stations and bought two more for my brother. Out of the 4 base stations 1 has this odd rotary sound struggling like a fishing rod that just annoys me, I may have to return it. If you plan to play vrchat, 2 base stations is all you need but yes the software can support 3 but the 4th one would have issues getting in sync making the software tell you that you have two many base stations and to only use two. You have to place these opposite from each other and press the channel button located on the back, to set one to channel (b) and the other to (c). Im not sure what channel (A) is for but Ill have to Google it.

> 3 dayFirmware refused to update without manual effort. Then it died a week after my return window closed. Vive makes you pay to send it back and might even charge you for the repair. Might cost more than the device. These are terrible but there is no alternative. Vive customer service is not as good as Oculus. Everyone I know has had a problem with a lighthouse and/or a repair ticket nightmare story.

> 3 dayWe got a used headset and needed the base stations and new controllers. Ordered these base stations and they work great except for one of them. The bottom inlet that you are supposed to be able to use to mount the base station to stands or wall hangs does not have threading. The back one has threading but we are unable to angle the base station if it is attached from the back. As it is now, with not being able to angle, we have deadspots when trying to map our room area.

> 3 dayOrdered 2 of them, they came in today. I set them up on the wall mounts and everything. I plug them into the wall and one of them is green and working, the other one is blinking red. I have been unable to find any solutions for the past 3 hours, and searching online just says it is an internal/rotor failure or something. I am amazed that something brand new doesnt work at all...Rated 2 stars just because one of them works and also because they were delivered fast.

Greater than one weekFast shipping, came new in box, works great. Just be sure to update the firmware through Steam VR before using it or else it may track weirdly due to software mismatch.

> 3 dayThis product is great with the 2.0 vive trackers and is definitely the better option to have if you are just getting into vull body vr as it is cheaper than the 2.0 base station. One thing I would like to warn you about is to never under any circumstances get a used base station. I made that mistake before and ended up getting a $114 paperweight, there is likely something gonna be wrong with the used base station such as a faulty motor, scratches, bad wire, or at worst a broken laser diode. Always buy these things new.

> 3 daySo, as for what I received, it works great, as advertised. An excellent version 2 replacement. The conditions that led me to ordering this were kind of silly, though. One of my base stations was no longer tracking correctly, and debugging the hardware, fiddling with the mounts and angles, and removing other light sources from the room did nothing to help. So I sent it to the HTC repair center, but now I dont know when to expect it back, so ended up just ordering another one from here to keep things moving. Kind of annoyed by that, but whatever. Imagine my surprise when hooking up the replacement, it was having the same tracking issues. I eventually figured out that there was an environmental factor I hadnt been considering: some framed pictures were put on the wall near the play area recently, and their reflective plexiglass was seriously messing with the invisible lasers that the base stations use. After they were removed from the area, everything worked fine. If youre having tracking issues, consider looking for potentially reflective surfaces rather than jumping to the wrong conclusion like I did, and that includes anything, not just mirrors.
