The finger reader will read immediately or it may take a few times. I dont use the face recognition. Anyway, the phone is amazing its the best phone Ive ever had. The camera spec are great and the battery life can last me up to 2 day! Great buy for the price of the phone! Update a year and 3 months later the finger print scanner has now stopped working. However the phone is durable.

Ive had this phone for 2 days now. Its a great phone. A little taller than most phones but it takes getting used to. Very fast great screen quality. Pictures are really good. Speaker isnt the best but it gets the job done. I activated it with straight talk and you do only get 4g but speed test in my area it runs faster than 4glte. If you are activating with straight talk you have to buy a new Sim card. It is compatible with AT&T. The battery life is great too. I get about an hour for 10 percent of constant use. The notifications are all the same sound. Not sure how to change it. I switched from the Samsung galaxy s8 and this phone runs much smoother and faster than a galaxy s8!

Ive had Samsung and a Google pixel and for those who are worried about the price and think they will get ripped off its not the case. This phone is a steal for the price, I use it on TMobile no network issue the phone runs smoothly and the design is amazing feels and looks like $1000 phone. Highly recommend it.

Ok.. Here the deal. This phone is totally awesome! IF IT WORKED IN USA. The truth is it will kind of work. It does NOT pick up the backbone of att lte frequency. (17). If you live or work anywhere outside a metropolitan area, youll only get 4G at best. Really too bad cause this phone is sick. Amazing camera, great build quality, good software (although all the Huawei permissions to save data on foreign servers is creepy). Know this is a top tier phone, but it probably wont get you LTE.

This is pretty good phone to use in the USA, even though, it is a international version with not warranty in the USA. The last part is clear(Warranty) However, the seller did not mentioned that they are selling this phones with the system updated blocked to the latest updated (Pie/EMUI 9.0 Android) The seller (Mobile International LLC) should have detailed that part of this product, regardless. I felt like I was cheated. There is reason why developers work days and nights created new updates. What is the point to spend $200 some dollars in a phone that it is not allow to be up to date with the latest update. Update: On May 15, following an executive order from President Donald Trump effectively banning Huawei from US communications Networks. Then on May 19, Google cuts off Huawei phones from future Android updates. What does the Google block mean for Huawei phone users? Google has pulled Huaweis Android license blocking Huawei from using Android apps on its devices. At the moment, Huawei phones run on Googles Android mobile operating system (OS) and the security features which come with Android, will continue to be available on existing Huawei devices, so it seems like your current Huawei devices is safe for now. However, some Huawei models included Honor 8X and Huawei p20 pro will NOT be possible to download or receiving the latest updates, stable Android 9.0 Pie/EMUI and EMUI 9.1 these two updates are necessary for the best performance.

A beautiful phone, but I had to send it back. This one had a terrible flaw; out going sound CANNOT be heard by recipient, all the recipient could hear was LOTS OF STATIC !!!!! Im gonna re-order from a different seller. Hoping this next phone is DEFECT-FREE !!!!! UPDATE: After ordering another this same phone from a different seller, I can know rate it a 5. As a seasoned user of portable PCs and handsets since the CPM era (prior to DOS & Windows), I vouch for the complete satisfaction of my 4 week old Huawei Honor 8X Android mobile phone running on AT&T suburban networks in MD. At $180 (Amazon), its cost performance ratio is overwhelming. This is my first try with Huawei, I plan on buying a new model soon. These are the type of thing that you do not complement, because it might just blow up in your hands. I am just kidding, this phone is a solid smartphone, camera is great and very responsive, night pictures can be taken if you don`t shake yourself that much and they look good. It fulfills the my needs, and that is the question you have to make to yourself, does this specs fulfill what i need or is this too much, maybe too little. For this price range this phone is great, not lagging, no wireless or mobile data problems.

The speed is fast, and the size and weight are good. But the back cover is very slippery. If you dont install the protective case, it will automatically fall off, which is a bit dangerous. In short, the price is worth the project.
