In this fast-paced frenzied modern world, Hudson (both the character and the entire movie) serves as a great reminder that the journey (especially the company) is often more important than the destination.

The character of Hudson himself was a hard role to play and was acted absolutely beautifully. The script was crisp and tight and smart and deep. I loved the cinematography and the editing work. His father, the doctor, was surprised as well.

This film was exactly what the title says. It was just nice. It was clearly heartfelt, the shots were beautiful as they capture the subtle beauty of central New York. The soundtrack was perfect. The writing was simple yet elegant. You could really tell the actors cared about the project. The ora around them showed it. It may sound odd but it was like a gift from a relative that you didnt expect but genuinely enjoy where you have the feeling/reaction of wow this is actually so nice!

A film we can all relate to. Can you go home again? Maybe, maybe not. A well written and superbly acted film, shot in scenic Upstate New York. The cinematography was eye catching. Life is not about what happens to you but how you deal with it. You’ll find yourself connecting to the characters almost immediately. Check out this gem of a movie today.

David Neal Levin just jumps off the screen as Hudson. He gives a lot of heart and a funny, patient performance as the quirky, likable titular character. I also loved the wonderful soundtrack work here. The chosen songs helped give the overall autumnal vibe and chill mood to a family roadtrip. I loved the work between Levin and the doctor as well. These two actors really felt like father and son, and its to both of their credit that they had a lot of heart and thought in their performances. Great work by the cast and crew on making this heartfelt journey come to life. Great Thanksgiving movie!

Great film about a pair of cousins reconnecting over family matters. As a fan of Hal Hartley films and movies like You Can Count on Me and The Station Agent, this film by Sean Daniel Cunningham had me feeling the same vibes! Immediately you connect with the characters. I love that the story meanders through the day with quirky encounters and happenings, peppered throughout with the clumsiness that both cousins share. David Neal Levin, who plays Hudson, is fantastic and I really hope to see him again...and hopefully in another Cunningham film. I watched the movie twice and its definitely worth the rewatch to pick up on all the little details.
