> 24 hourWe were given newborn sized diapers at the hospital and soon learned that, although our son was not a premie baby, his long skinny body was just too thin for the newborn size. So off we went to pick up some premie sized diapers. We started with Pampers premie diapers which were perfect. Then we ran out and I realized someone had given us some of these premie sized Huggies. Well, all I can say is that, after using them for 2 days, I am SO tired of washing laundry. It seems these are made short but wide. Theyre so wide on our son that they pucker in the front and back which allows everything inside to run right out. They also dont seem to seal well at the legs. Thanks to these diapers, Ive had to put all his blankets and clothes in the wash after every pee or bowel movement and now have yellow poo stains that Im trying to get out of most of his blankets. Maybe Huggies are better in other sizes, but I certainly wont be buying these ever again.

> 24 hourI loved these preemie diapers! We started out using Pampers because thats what they had in the hospital, but when we got home and finished the pack, we bought Huggies. I preferred the feel of the diaper- Pampers feel a little too slick for me. My little girl is 6.5 lbs but her tushie is so tiny that often the Pampers slid down her booty- you can imagine the mess that caused! I also preferred the little velcro tabs- they are a unique kind of velcro that seems hardly sticky at all (yet does the trick perfectly), and each tab can actually can fasten securely onto the opposite tab. I can get a really secure but gentle fit with the Huggies. I also think that the umbilical cord cut-out was much more generous with Huggies. It has a wider cut out, and the front of the diaper is wider too so you can get a nice wrap. I saw a review stating that someone had trouble with leaks with the Huggies- I personally didnt notice a difference in the two brands. I got occasional leaks with both around the legs, but you know how baby poo is- sometimes that happens. My last point!- Huggies has the color line showing if they peed in the diaper, whereas the Pampers brand does NOT have this feature in the preemie size.

> 24 hourI bought these for my niece. She outgrew them after using one package. I always used Huggies for my sons 25 years ago. It is an excellent brand.

> 24 hourAs a first time mom, my concern was that they might not fit baby who was 3,5 pounds at his birth but it did and I was happy. I know that on the first ones I bought it was mentioned they were for preemies but somehow I doubted. I dont think it will help anyone to mention it is good quality because I noticed that it is a well known brand and baby got no allergy.

Twin Mama
> 24 hourI have boy/girl twins and my little girl needed preemie size diapers for quite some time (she was 2 lbs. 6 oz when she was born). These diapers were useless for her. I had to change her clothes after each nap. They were not nearly absorbant enough. I was so frustrated (we bought several packs when home from the NICU) I sent the remaining diapers back to Kimberly-Clark (parent company for huggies). To their credit they sent a note back with coupons and a refund check. I never seemed to have the same problem with my son. I think it is the anatomy differences, if you know what I mean. Just a warning for your preemie girls. Spend the dollar extra and get Pampers Swaddlers...never had a problem.
