We installed the hooks in our garage. They are very sturdy and hold a variety of things: bikes, seasonal decorations, etc.

These have come in much more handy than those rail systems for garages and much much cheaper. I have opted to use for just about everything, two have held strongly to my stand-up paddleboard and paddle with no sagging or any issues. Just make sure to screw into studs where possible.
