I made a toy with this for my grandchildren and its the perfect crinkle sound!

The crinkle in my dogs toy got bunched up, and he didnt enjoy the toy as much anymore. I sewed a single layer of this into the toy, and it is crinkly again, which makes him happy. A single layer has a better crinkle factor than multiple layers. When I tried to crinkle in the package, I wasnt impressed. As soon as there was only one layer, my dog really perked up. He waited outside my sewing room until the toy was out of surgery.

Not the thickness I was looking for. Its kinda crinkly but not at all like the baby toys crinkle paper you feel in the big manufacturers toys. I needed a lot of crinkle.

I thought that there was something special about this... but Im not sure what it is. There are very similar materials at the dollar store that come in a roll for a dollar. The material is how it was advertised, crinkly and makes noise when added to a crochet project . Feel free to reply and let me know what Im missing.
