I bought this instead of the RAM mount equivalent due to their shipping cost and lead time. This is very sturdy and in my opinion better quality.

They actually shipped me the aluminum one when I ordered the composite, but Im not complaining. Its great quality and it does its 1 and only job, holding my phone up in my car.

Tightens up easily and stays tight

Spring is a little weak. Other than that it works perfectly.

This thing feels bombproof, maybe because it weighs a LOT. Unfortunately, that weight puts a lot of strain on the other components in your mounting system, which can make things droop or sag -- especially when hitting bumps.

Purchased several of the arms in different sizes. Some of the longer ones would bread when tightened enough to stay put. This one is a little heavier than the others and much stronger. Use it on my handlebars of my cruiser for GPS or camera. Rock solid.

This unit is metal instead of plastic. I suspect it wont ever fail.

I use it 6 days a week to hold cell phone.

A nice alternative to RAM products.
