28-11-2024Im not new to photography but am to film. Im probably not the best person to ask to critique a film, but hey, I took these shots and like them. I had to do some post editing to get the contrast how I wanted, but I think that would have been the same with digital.

> 3 dayA great low-contrast monochrome film. I primarily shoot landscapes, and like to use an R25 filter on bright days.

01-12-2024Well I read the other reviews and was hoping that I would actually get the three rolls of film I paid for. Dont make my mistake, they only send you two rolls and then ignore you.

> 3 dayIlford makes some of the best B&W emulsions still available today. HP5+ is in some ways comparable to the famed Tri-X, but since I have used the former but not personally exposed and developed any of the latter yet, I wont try to make a detailed comparison. Both are contrasty, flexible B&W films. HP5+ is quite a forgiving emulsion.

Greater than one weekThis is a great product, but the rolls do NOT have 36 exposures. I had 34 exposures on the rolls, so a little disappointing when I typically receive a couple extra exposures with Kodak film.

Greater than one weekThe best black and white I’ve used. Awesome details and depth that I haven’t found with others using the same camera.
