It was easy to install, really gripped the door and easy to use. Had to buy it to keep my toddler in his room during the night so he wont play with the gas stove. Best purchase Ive made this year

My door knob handle must be closer to the door than other levers because there was no way I could apply this mechanism without turning it at a 45⁰ angle, otherwise the knob could not be pulled down to open the door. I didnt realize that the first time I applied it and had to rip it off the wall which pulled paint off (oops! Shouldve used floss or fishing wire instead to gently scrap the mechanism off). That said, it works! It doesnt look pretty since I have to keep it at an angle, but it does the job well and sticks to the door very well.

Well, these are not a one handed operation handle lock. Otherwise they work to deter children from getting doors open alone.

I you should really get some of them love them

Our cat Winston is an escape artist; we have a brace that keeps him in his room at night or when we travel that works from the outside of his door. BUT now he has learned he can open all our lever doors including the door to our bedroom. We are mildly cat allergic (the cat was inherited) and we cope by keeping him out of our bed and bedroom. He goes where he wants to go. This device has worked perfectly so far. He has used all four paws to try to defeat it, but it is opposable thumbs 1/ cat paws 0 thus far. Highly recommended to keep cats out.

If you have paint that peels easily, dont use this. The sticky on the back will take the paint off, and the product and your paint job will be ruined. However, aside from that, it works exactly as advertised.

bought this as a solution as we live in an apartment, my child sleeps in their own room and my husband works a night shift so we can’t deadbolt the door, has worked great and i can finally sleep not worrying about my child breaking free in the middle of the night
