Greater than one weekThis is my first and only set of disc golf discs. I played with a friend who was much more experienced than I am and he commented that all of them were really good and that it was a good assortment to have in terms of a beginners pack. Unfortunately I lost one at the very beginning of our game - totally my fault and had nothing to do with the discs themselves. But still, they were fun to play with and are still fun to play with.

> 3 dayI got these discs as a starter set and they all play well except for the driver disc. It has a very thick edge and is difficult to control. Its also a bit heavy. I get much better distance and control out of the fairway driver so I just leave the big heavy defender at home.

> 3 dayBuy this set! You can spend hours researching the best discs for beginners and 30 bucks on 2 discs, and possibly end up with the wrong discs. OR you can get this 5 disc starter set and be throwing tomorrow! If youre a beginner, start with the Leopard and the ROC. Leave the Destroyer at home until you get the hang of the other discs. Hint: as soon as you open them, write your phone number on the back with a permanent marker.

Greater than one weekJust started playing disc golf during COVID. After borrowing discs for a while I got this set. They are really great discs for beginners and cheap enough to not worry about them getting beat up while youre learning. I dont recommend earlier beginners use the DESTROYER until you have some technique down - the speed is too high. The Leopard is one of my favorite discs and is a GREAT mid-range for beginners.

Greater than one weekAs a DG Instructor, DG Gear Head and Innova Brand devotee, I just cant get behind this set. Beginners should not throw Destroyers...period. They are advanced to pro level discs and the only way to make them fly at low to moderate speeds is to distort your throwing angle. I have seen dozens of players start out twisting themselves out of shape to throw Destroyers and other pro drivers and some never really learn to throw flat and easy the right way. Even the T Bird included here is a bit much for beginners but at least typical intermediates can use it eventually. Also, these are 8 dollar discs, so there is no savings offered here. You get no choice of colors or weights. Bottom line: Innova is a great company that makes great beginner discs but this collection makes no sense. Go to a store and ask a pro. Go to a course and hang out til you meet people who will likely GIVE you discs that are better suited (though they may ALSO try to give you drivers and pro discs...what can you do.) The Aviar, Roc and Leopard listed here are good choices so two stars for that.
