Rugged boots on connectors. Fast.

I ordered the 0.5 feet because I wanted to limit the amount of cable in the area. The cable itself was only 3 inches. With the connectors it was 6 inches. Not long enough fo me. Will be returning for a little bigger cable.

It is not often that I find a patch cable that can actually MARGINALLY PASS using the TIA Patch Cord Test on a Fluke Versiv DSX-8000. I have yet to find one that will fully PASS, regardless of manufacturer, so I am not dinging the marginal pass. This Cat6 shielded cord does indeed MARGINAL PASS with PCA adapters. On a TIA Cat6 Channel test, using CHA adapters and looser testing criteria, this patch cord fully PASSES. A further test was conducted, using 10GBASE-T + 802.3bt, which is 10 Gigabit and a powerful variation of PoE. PASS was the result. So, in summation, here are results: T568 Cat6 Patch Cord Test, PCA to PCA: MARGINAL PASS -- This test also takes the terminations into account T568 Cat6 Channel Test, CHA to CHA: PASS -- This test does NOT measure terminations, and only the cable Application Test, 10GBASE-T + 802.3bt: PASS -- This test is a practical snap shot of on the ground performance It should be noted that other patch cords, from other manufacturers, will FAIL T568 Patch Cord testing and may not even pass the Channel test. There is a lot of garbage cable out there. Buyer beware. I am a Fluke Networks Certified Network Technician, and am trained and registered to provide DSX test results. The Certification tester in question, and the accessories used, will set you back north of $13K, so hopefully my weighing in will add some value to your decision as most folks have no ability to afford one of these test setups and do not have the ability to obtain the training necessary to use one in any case. The one MINOR thing I dislike is the boot design of the cable. It is the half moon variety, which dries out over time and becomes stiff and difficult to disconnect cables if it gets in the way. I prefer other boot types. I will not remove a star for this. I will often cut the half moon boot off with flush cutters so it does not become an issue.

Got this after an internet upgrade for a run between my router and my desktop pc. this cable can definitely handle all this new speed no problem. I have not encountered any connection issues and it has been a couple months at least. As my isp plan is for 500mbps, I am very happy.

Of the 7 or so orders, I had gotten good cables 6 times. The last order I received UTP instead of S/FTP cable. processed my return.
