FINALLY. Intel has got back to being a contender. I had not updated my computer since Kaby Lake... and I was a bit disappointed to see how thrashed Intel was getting by AMD.

When I saw this during the Prime Day deal, I thought it was something I had to buy on general principle, which I did. Thus far, the chip is fast, runs Win 11 well and runs all the games Ive tried on it easily. Also, Intel has some neat utilities where, if one were inclined, may tinker with the performance.

This project is great for gaming, i like it, but you have to buy good power supply with good cooler to manage the CPU temperature.

Got this on sale at 220 and man, is it an upgrade from a ryzen 5 3600.

PSA: do not buy if you want to overclock and you plan on using Intel XTU on windows 10! Intel has dropped support for XTU on windows 10 for the 12th and 13th gen models, which i did not know at the time of purchase. Regardless, you may not even need to overclock this processor, it handles games, video editing, and large processing workloads well! I have been enjoying Intels P/E core technology a lot, my background tasks running nominally, while my games and workloads execute smoothly. Amazing processor for its price, but its definitely not the fastest. You should buy this as an in-between when building a new computer or when upgrading chipsets, etc.

Bought this as part of a new gaming computer build. Very happy with my purchase, runs everything well and performance is great.

This cpu kicks butt for a good all around cpu. I use it for gaming and ripping mp3s with no problem.

First time building a PC. This processor was easy to install and has been working flawlessly.
