At the time the price was a little steep but it was in my price range. I did overclock it due to having a good turbo boost speed. After 1 month, the price went down 30 bones to combat AMD Ryzen 3. At the time I needed a CPU fast because my previous CPU fried after 9 years (I7 2600k) in terms of firestrike scores, the Cpu/Memory/Mobo was 25% faster than my Sandy Bridge 2600k.

Bought this for a mid range PC build with a z390 mobo. Needs a 3rd party cooler of course, but then was able to overclock in the BIOS from 3.7 GHz to 4.8 GHz.
