Installation was a breeze (my first). I have only had it in place for a month and have not yet been able to get a decent graphics card, but running with an old card for now does not come close to pushing this cpu to its limits.

Great for gaming. Even tho AMD beats it in multi core workloads doesnt mean its not a good processor. Its a stable reliable processor. And best of all its in stock. In gaming it trades blows with my ryzen 5800x. So for I havent run into any bugs or glitches. Thats what you get with intel. Stability. If your only gaming Id say this isnt the way to go. But my wife does do work station application and the extra cores reduce her time. Id say this is niche processor and very few people would actually benefit from the extra cores. If your just gaming go with a 11600k. My daughter build is running an overclocked 11600k and it trades blows with this one.

I really don’t get why people aren’t hyping the fact that you get almost TRIPLE the read&write speeds with these new chips being 4.0 gen. The only reason I upgraded/downgraded to this cpu is specifically for the gen 4 m.2 slots. Trust me. Invest in 2 980 pro’s from Samsung, configure raid0 with them, make it a boot drive and BAM... Don’t say I didn’t tell ya. To avoid any hassle, make sure your motherboard has at least 2 PCEI 4.0 gen slots. Otherwise you may share bandwidth with other slots. In regards to the rest of the features this cpu has. Intel in my opinion is still top dawg when it comes to gaming & overclocking. I’ve enjoyed intels i9-9900k for a while now and if your like me and you want the best intel has to offer. So if your pockets are like my pockets you’ll follow in someway what I plan to do. Right now the i9-11900k is sold out, but more importantly WAYYYYY to pricey!!! No prob just go to your local retailer and buy the i7-11700k!!! (Make sure you spend the extra dough on the *Retailer’s 1year or 2year warranty!!! When intel stops this temper tantrum from the $Rising Ryzens$ and lowers there i9-11900k considerably, or comes up with an even BETTER CPU!!! Then because you purchased the warranty, you can basically trade in your i7 for the i9 for no extra cost or even lower then what you paid for this i7. So if you got cash but still wanna save a few bucks, I highly recommend this method. Besides we gotta stay loyal to our intel boys and not switch over to the dark side. #threadskipper hahahah

This is my third Intel Core i7 11700 processor. Really like the performance and the fact that it supports graphics. I dont have to buy an expensive graphics board.

Dont listen to the review on youtube, cus this is a legendary CPU. Before the 11th gen, the 10900K was the fastest gaming CPU in the market. And for Intel to top it, is impressive in itself. CPU if you pair it with the right motherboard and rams you will then see its full potential. I own the 12900K for over 6 months and decided to go back to the 11gen. Even though Alder lake is more powerful, since it is very new, it has way too many drawback and the high latency of rams is the main reason why I decided to sell it. I think Raptor lake would be the CPU but as of now, the 11 gen with a few tweaks will outperform alder lake.

For some reason it wouldn’t allow me to unlock the RAID capability on my motherboard since this model was made to do that. Tested with someone else’s 11700 it raid could be enabled. I wouldn’t buy it here, look elsewhere for it. It’s too expensive to risk something like this.

Closely matches 5800X (~97% across some synthetic benchmarks according to indep reviewers with meaningful lead in others) at lower price, with inclusion of iGPU, better reliability and availability (Also, ~same long-term power draw and better temperature than 5800X as well)! Excellent product if youre not waiting for Alder Lake later this year
