Its a 9700k do I really need to say more! lol overclocked great with my Aorus pro wifi motherboard at 5ghz@ 1.3 absolutely no issues, noticed a big difference from my old i5 4690k!

Ive been an avid INTEL supporter for most of my life. Despite AMDs solid performance strides I stick with INTEL. Ive enjoyed stability with my processors (even with OC) and this one has yet to disappoint me.

I had an old system with 2 CPUs with 2 cores each and at this time the machine was top notch (10 years ago). I am not gaming and the new processor is used for work. I ran some applications such as gimp in batch mode and I noticed that the execution time has been divided by 5 (almost one order of magnitude). Also, recompiling libraries with gcc is very fast and I have a feeling that the compilation time has also been divided significantly. Also, the motherboard and the CPU are much cooler than in the past (40 °C instead of 75 °C). I would recommend serious users to purchase such a CPU. However, I have a nagging question. What is happenings with Windows 10? Is this processor needed just to have a reasonable response time with this OS? However, on Linux, this processor is an overkill.

This CPU is awesome. If you’re going Intel and want to save about $100 over an i9 for minimal difference in power, this is the way to go.

Dopo quasi 8 anni di soddisfacente utilizzo del mio i7-3770 ho deciso di cambiare orientandomi verso lultimo i7 di Intel ovvero li7-9700K. Processore strutturato con 8 core fisici e comportamento dai due volti. Utilizzato in modalità eco ovvero con un singolo core capace di raggiungere i 4600 Mhz consuma pochissima corrente e non sale di temperatura anche nellimpiego gravoso attestandosi al massimo intorno ai 60 gradi; se impostato nella variante performance tutti i suoi 8 core sono in grado di raggiungere i 4900 MHz ma il suo TDP sale considerevolmente raggiungendo i 150 watts. In questo caso, seppur raffreddato da un ottimo Noctua NH-C14 in configurazione double-fans, raggiunge facilmente i 75 gradi. Le sue prestazioni in modalità eco sono buone, ottime nella variante spinta. In pratica va bene per tutti gli utilizzatori, anche per coloro i quali non vogliono spendere eccessivamente per il dissipatore che comunque non viene fornito dal costruttore. Personalmente sono soddisfattissimo e lo ricomprerei
