The 9700k has done me well in gaming and some productivity software. At msrp its definitely not the greatest in comparison to other amd equivalent cpus, but in the current market and if you can find this cpu new at around $200 which it has been, its a great cpu to have.

I bought this to upgrade my i7 4790 and love this new chipset, I would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade an older generation CPU (7th series or lower) or if you are going to be building a new system. It does everything the 9900 can do with a much nicer price point.

So basically all that came in the mail was an Intel cpu plastic sleeve with some random other electronic chip. Total scam, I had better get my money back
