6700からの乗り換えで買いました。

I bought the i7 and it didn’t work returned it on the 16 of august and I still haven’t got my money back

This chip runs cooler then my i7-9700k and uses less of the cores. Actually super happy with this upgrade. The new retention was alittle weird but overall great value. Fyi make sure you get the right cooler in my case i had the corsair h150i elite capellix so i had to order the new retention kit from corsairs website. You can use the old backplate it comes with just the screws are shorter. The cpu is thiner.

Buyer beware that the i7 12700F DOES NOT SUPPORT CPU OVERCLOCKING! Only 12700 and 12700K have overclock capabilities. If you try to enable CPU overclocking in BIOS on the 12700f, you’ll find that it’s locked to 2.1 GHz. The more you know…

Everything I read said itd be super mega hot - and so I paired it with a 360mm AIO. So far, temps are GREAT.
