Exceptionally poor battery life. Very disappointing. Does not last one day!! Total misrepresentation.

Perfect reading under any circumstance. Excellent battery life.

I decided to buy this model because of its weakness adjustment feature and so far I’m very happy with it. And I also love the physical button to turn pages, reading before bedtime for me is much more enjoyable because of these two features.

I had trouble with this kindle right from the start(my second one of this type). the battery played up right from the start and could not connect to internet etc. I brought this up with AmazonSupport team while it was still under guarantee, but they do not supply replacements internationally although you can buy them internationally. The team said they would refund the price of the unit to me, which unfortunately does not seem to have happened. I consider this really bad practice and extremely poor service

The device stopped functioning after 4 month due to battery issue! Intuitive: get into a book store, find a new book in a book store; find a book on the device; book reading. Less intuitive: when inside the book, how to get out. The device is able to detect files TXT and PDF files. Inconvenience: PDF file will return to its original font size, when moving to another page. A bit slow response - its not a big issue, when getting use to it. Due not powerful CPU - very slow web sites load and device gets not responsive - reboot is the only cure. Its unclear if it is able to play MP3 books - I was failed to manage this feature.

I have a vision issue and Kindle is the only product that allows me to read for extended periods of time. I just received my Kindle Oasis 10th generation, 32 GB, Wi-Fi and was so excited as I only had the app downloaded on my laptop. Got it all set up only to discover that it only displays in black and white, absolutely no color. Book covers, paintings, pictures, etc. I talked with Amazon and they said they were sorry and that they are testing color for now with no mention of a target date for repair. So, they are shipping a product that is not finished and is not as expected. Really furious over this issue and feel rip-offed, especially at this price point. Now, I have to wait until they get it fixed with an upgrade!!! I would have never ordered it if I had known this was the case. Why doesnt the ad on the webpage state that issue? Right now, my laptop is a better device than the Oasis???? Unreal!!! Oh, btw, the app was free. Somebody needs to wake up!

Ive owned Kindle devices since they were introduced and use them every day. Ive previously owned Paperwhites and this is my first Oasis. The weight is an issue - noticeably heavier than a Paperwhite - not a problem if youre only using for a short time. The reading experience is better than the Paperwhite as you can control the warmth of the page to make it easier on the eyes. The major problem I encountered is the absolute failing of the battery after a few hours of use. I have to recharge at least once a day, sometimes more. Ive seen this issue discussed online by many others so Im not alone on this. Ive tried modulating the brightness and warmth settings to no avail. Given the increased cost of the Oasis vs. a Paperwhite I cant in good conscience recommend this item. One other note to Amazon - after about 25 years can we have a decent Browser installed. Stay with the Paperwhite.

Its..... an incredible achievement for humankind. I was afraid it would be too big, but it isnt. If youre even just contemplating about buying it, just do it.
