I read a lot at night time. Use iPad mini five, black screen, white letters with Night Shift (warmer colors at night time). I have a Kindle voyage which I really like but obvi, no inverted screen option with voyage. Bought oasis specifically for the inverted screen color to use at night time. Set warm colors also. For the most part, great UNTIL between one page and next, screen ***completely inverts color*** to blue/white background and black letters (completely *not* warm colors), killing my night vision and Night adapted eyes. Mind you, this is **intermittent** and also occurs when I want to bookmark a page. I would start reading with my oasis, then get the annoying inverted screen flicker, then revert back to my iPad mini, with oasis collecting dust on desk. Online chat with representative sent me a refurbished unit, instead of a new unit as promised. Grr. Returning both. (defective new unit, and replacement new refurbished unit)

Very light and easy to hold and with the page turner controls on one margin it makes it easier to grip. I love the automatic upside down feature making it easy to change from right to left hand. I had debated about upgrading from Paperwhite to Oasis and only sorry I didnt do it sooner.

Its..... an incredible achievement for humankind. I was afraid it would be too big, but it isnt. If youre even just contemplating about buying it, just do it.

Considering what I posits for the new kindle oasis, its not that great. Ive had nothing but issues trying to connect it to hotel wifi when I travel so if I havent made a point of downloading plenty of titles, Im just SOL. The battery life is not weeks as they claim. I get several days at best. The interface is dated and slow.

Why I cannot order the All-new Kindle Oasis - Now with adjustable warm light - 32 GB, Graphite - Free 4G LTE + Wi-Fi (International Version - Vodafone) to Portugal. When I choose it, I get the information, that the item ships to Portugal. Then, when I want to checkout, the system displays, that the item does nor ship to my Portuguese address.

Perfect reading under any circumstance. Excellent battery life.

The oasis made me a real reader. Its noticeably faster, I love the buttons and the weighting. I do have some caveats. 1st Caveat: The Kindle Lottery. Kindle screens can commonly have the a few issues. Very small dead pixels are almost a certain, but unless you get it in a particular noticeable location (like me, inside a icon) you wont notice it 99% of the time. There also can be brightspots were that are instantly noticeable if you get one (basically backlight leaks) (just return these). Unfortunately by the time the dead pixel started bothering me or is noticed, (only when sitting in home page, its not noticeable while reading) it was well outside return window. In the future I would make sure you do a good review of any unit you buy. Return if there is any flaws you dont want to be stuck with--- Especially for a luxury brand. Im a little disappointed that especially for 350$ that this kindle doesnt have good Quality COntrol. 2nd Caveat: The Price: I feel like the price here is a little much even with these extra features. Storage space at these levels are very cheap. would be a lot better for 25-50 less dollars atleast. 3rd Caveat: Custom Book Uploading. This is a niche use (and the way amazon supports this is very ancient). You can email books to your ereader. Its useful for those of us that read stuff that hasnt been properly released on amazon. Unfortunately your best option is to use the .mobi format, which sucks for and usually requires conversation. .epub is mysteriously not supported despite being an open format. I have tried to use amazons own format that supports these layouts, but its hard for non-authors to access good ways to convert books into amazons prefered format. Overall This kindle enables me to read, and I love it. I wont pretend its perfect though.

The forward and backward buttons simply dont work. The battery is empty in less than an hour from full charge. I want a refund and I dont want to buy kindle products ever again. My last kindle, the first gen paperwhite was much better.
