> 3 dayYesterday I ran errands in the pouring down rain. The great thing about this umbrella is that when you open the car door just a crack, you can slip the umbrella out in an upright position. Then it’s very easy to push the umbrella into the open position. My clothes actually stayed dry yesterday by the time I got home from running all of my errands. I chose the umbrella with the blue sky and white puffy clouds with hopes that it would cheer me up on a cloudy day!

> 3 dayI use this umbrella primarily to keep the sun off of me while I work, although its also nice to have on hand in case it should start raining. I spend a lot of time outdoors because I do walking tours and sunblock can only go so far. The umbrella sees a lot of use and I open and close it again and again as I move through different settings and in and out of doors, and it stands up well to the abuse. This is the second one I have purchased. I think it took me about a year to wear out the first one. Actually, the first one was ok except the velcro on the strap began coming unsewn, thus making it impossible for me to keep it closed. Its not a real expensive umbrella, so replacing it was more cost effective than trying to repair it. Anyway, I look forward to getting at least another years use out of the new one.
