It works really well I can clean my cats litter box in a few passes. Unlike the plastic scoop that bent if chunks were still wet and the chunks would not unstick from the litter box bottom. This metal one got them off the bottom of the litter box. Make sure you get it with plastic holder

Perhaps Im a self-interested jerk who doesnt care enough about other people to offer a well-considered opinion that could help them find the same consumeristic delight that I did. In light of that fact, this very act is a testament to the life-changing power of this litter scoop. This scoop is your ticket to complete s***-sifting satisfaction. DURABLE: This thing is made to do some heavy duty (doody?) work. It is constructed from sturdy aluminum that both feels great in your hand and provides all the leverage you need (and then some) to lift even the biggest litter clumps. I have destroyed countless cheap plastic litter scoops in my life. This one is going to outlive my cats and it will almost certainly outlive me as well. In fact, I will probably be able to bequeath this to future generations of cat owners, which brings me to... VALUE: Yes, this is going to cost you more than the shoddy plastic litter scoop you grabbed from the aisle at Petco. However, I refer you to my point about durability and the fact that you will get a lifetime of use from this single product instead of replacing an inferior device every year or so. A lifetime of replacement scoops will end up costing you more in the long run. With this scoop you will save money, achieve your litter sanitation mission and avoid discarding more plastic garbage into a landfill somewhere. You win. Earth wins. Enough said. FUNCTIONAL: It does exactly what it is designed to do without any hassle. Before I had reached this enlightened state, I purchased a litter box with a built-in grate and a purportedly clever method for rolling the thing onto its side to trap the litter clumps, which could then be extracted through a pull-out drawer. While this sounded genius on the surface (I thought it was going to save me loads of time spent laboring with the scoop), in practice it was a disaster. The grate often got caked with cat waste that had to be manually scraped clean, the grate sometimes became detached from the box which rendered it useless while there was still litter in the box, and eventually the important bits broke apart in ways that took it to its final resting place in the dumpster. In short, this was an overengineered solution to a simple problem. This scoop is wonderfully uncomplicated, the handle is comfortable to grip and there is practically no way in which it can fail to do the task for which it was designed. At first I was skeptical that the slats in the scoop were properly sized to capture only pieces of waste and allow litter through, but whoever designed this thing really nailed it. I am reminded daily how well this scoop catches clumps compared to others Ive used in the past. Do yourself a huge favor. Stop reading reviews and go buy this litter scoop immediately. You will not regret it.

This is the perfect scooper for the Teflon coated litter pan made by the same company. And using the Worlds Best Litter, the litter clumps perfectly, no sticking to pan or scoop, slides in the pan easily. The scoop is the right size to get all the small clumps.

Got this to replace a broken plastic scoop. It seems very sturdy and doesn’t bend at all when I use it. But it is only nonstick when the litter is dry, and anywhere a cat has peed the litter becomes like clay, and that always sticks to the scoop.

I was surprised to discover that a longer handle doesnt make the job any more pleasant. It will have to be a REALLY long handle for that. But that doesnt take away from the fact that this one is nice.

I originally picked this expensive scoop because it was available for same-day delivery. But I love it. Yes, I love a litter scoop. Incredibly solid and well made. Non-stick and large makes quick work of my large litter box.

This is an excellent litter box scoop. It really makes cleaning the litter boxes much easier than Ive experienced with other scoops. I highly recommend this one.

I used to have a small plastic scooper, and part of it cracked so it wasnt really usable anymore. I looked on Amazon, and although I saw several very nice looking ones in the $10-13 price range, I saw a couple cheap plastic ones from between $0.89 - $1.50. I was about to purchase one of those, as I figured it did the job just fine, but at the last minute, I decided... even if it does cost $12.95, which seems like a lot to spend on something so simple, I figured, even if it is expensive for what people usually spend on these, Ill just buy a nice one and never worry about it again... hence the saying buy once, cry once. And regardless of how expensive it is FOR a cat litter scooper, its not that much money either way. And its actually not expensive when you consider the thought and quality that has gone into making this product; it only seemed that way because Im used to using a cheap plastic one. After receiving it and using it... wow. I never thought a cat litter scooper would make me so happy! It makes cleaning out my cats litter box so much easier; I dont have to get so close to the box as its much larger, and its so strong and sturdy, and large, that I can clean the litter box in less than half the time as before. From now on, the box will stay consistently cleaner as I wont feel the need to put it off because of the hassle. Another reason I was going to buy a cheap one, is that I might be moving to a house soon, where my cat could do their business in the backyard, and I wouldnt need one at all anymore. But after using this, I figure... even if I only have a need for this for another couple of months, its already paid for itself! Also the fact that it is coated in the same teflon that cooking pans are made out of, is a big selling point. I havent had to clean it yet, but its nice to know that there wont be any issues with anything sticking to it too hard.

I really liked the plastic (I think ABS) scoop, however after a couple of months it snapped off at the handle. I was thankful that they made a similar design in aluminum, as I like the design of the grooves, size and weight. So far it has met all my requirements and deserves an outstanding rating.
