> 3 daySimple and does the job. Used for existing wires that were already terminated with jacks to add them to a patch panel so all connections and wiring going forward would be uniform. These seem like a good-quality build and Ive had no issues with them so far.

Greater than one weekI purchased these CAT 6 Keystone Couplers to use in a patch panel. Ive been working on organizing my jacks by color, and these worked great! Theyre nice and slim so they will fit in several different keystone patch panels, or even wall plates.

15-04-2025Tested a couple of these inline on shorter cables and they worked perfectly. I actually just needed a couplers for a very specific purpose. Having the keystone jack capability on this is a bonus!

> 3 dayOver the last 30 years I have punched down a lot more patch panels than I like and I have never really been a fan of inline couplers, but I am beginning to see the benefits of them. In the past, I have had way too many punch downs have connectors break off or pull loose whenever I have had to change ports/relocate connectors/add wires -- even when the cables were properly secured with cable ties. And, when the cables are all secured to one end, you pretty much have to loosen all of them to work on any of them -- which risks having to retest that entire panel row and potentially have to redo a bunch of punchdowns. Recently, I have been playing with panels that use standard keystone slots instead of punchdown blocks and I am rapidly becoming a fan of them. Typically I have been using standard keystone punchdowns with them rather than couplers like these, but although that simplifies things immensely already, getting to the back to release a keystone from the panel can still be a pretty big pain at times -- however, using couplers like these means that I can leave the keystone in place and just unhook the cable from the back and move it to another spot as needed, without the risk of damaging any other connections in the panel. I have also found these work pretty well in in-wall LV boxes, though for those I still probably will use standard punchdowns (and while these work in open back LV boxes, be aware that the combination of the coupler and the cable is too long for a lot of standard depth, closed back electrical boxes). About the only real negatives for using these in a punchdown rack is the added time and expense of having to put RJ45 connectors on the ends of all your cables -- which does usually take more time than just loading up a punchdown. The only other potential problem would be with the added impedance of the connector, though I have not seen a problem in practice at least up to 2.5GbE using CAT6. Even if you arent planning to use these in a keystone panel or wall jack, they still make very good in-line couplers and it can be quite convenient to keep a few handy just in case. Overall, these seem to fit fine in the keystones I have on hand, my network cables fit snugly in the jacks, and they have had no signal issues that I have seen. I also like that these are available in other colors besides yellow, which means that I can segment out different blocks on the panel. After having to fix connections on standard punchdowns far too often in cases where I had to make changes later, I am really beginning to think these and a keystone style panel are worth looking into. So, if you are planning a patch panel that may need to be updated or added to frequently in the future, Id definitely check these out.

> 3 dayThey work, which is why they got two stars. Mounting in a Leviton 6 opening Decora style insert required adhesive to keep them mounted. Great price but problematic to mount means keep looking.

> 3 dayI recently received a pack of 25 iwillink RJ45 Cat6 Keystone Couplers and have been very satisfied with their performance. The female to female design made it easy to install and connect my Ethernet cables. The couplers fit securely and there was no wiggle or movement once they were locked in place.

> 3 dayThese worked perfect for extending without having to cut and mend. They also fit into wall jacks perfectly.

> 3 dayWhen working on projects with keystone jacks in racks, I like to use multiple colors to keep different segments of the network clearly separated. These jacks are in a bold green color thats molded into the entire jack, so its easy to distinguish from other ports; theyre also easy to insert and remove.
