My son and I use Singapore Primary Math as homeschoolers and it is a great system. It gets right to it and doesnt waste time with too much busy work. They use multiple ways of teaching math concepts so it works for various learning styles. The pictures are simple, but effective. I find it relatively intuitive myself. The only issue we ever really seem to have is very occasionally we will encounter a bit of instruction in the book that doesnt quite seem to make sense to either of us. I suspect this is a translation issue and it is fairly infrequent. Singapore Math doesnt spend tons of time on each concept which may be an issue for some students who might need extra time to really get it. This is why they have extra books at each level for extra practice, so if you have a student who needs that extra work - dont despair. If you dont know where to start, their website has useful placement tests readily available. [...] I would most definitely recommend these books!

I have 3 flat antennas....2 of them never worked good. This antenna is small enough to put anywhere and does a great job picking up channels that the flat ones wouldnt pick up......will buy a couple more.

This is a great math series for our homeschooling, using it with the accompanying TextBooks and also the Tests books (4A and 4B). We have used this series for most elementary math years along with supplementing along with the Carson Dellosa series occasionally and also the Singapore Math Extra Practices as needed. If this book series would give enough space to work out all the problems in the book, I would give it 5 stars, but the fractions practices often are not large enough. This is a common problem in most math books, but if they want 5 stars thats what it would take from me. The Tests books can be found on Singaporemath.com and also cbd.com and are very helpful too. I personally attended schools in Japan and Korea as a kid and when I moved here my math scores were very high comparatively so I trust Asian books and feel this series has been very helpful but does need a lot of math teaching to the student daily which should be expected.

Daktari Obenga has done our ancestors proud with his very detailed gatherings and translations of the sheer brilliance of the ancient Egyptians. Obenga has taken a methodological approach to uncovering the philosophy we most often attribute to the West as having its genesis in Egyptian philosophical thought. He shows how some have tried to discount Egyptian philosophy as little more than potions, sayings and the like. Moreover, a closer read of the Book of Coming Forth...(Book of the Dead, colloquial) demonstrates the depth of the thought process of our ancestors. If that was not enough, Obenga then goes on to show in his methodological process, the sophisticated medical procedures the ancient Egyptians (as well as black Africa) were capable of operating. In fact, he shows how the Greeks learned from the very methods used by the Egyptians (Papyrus Ebers). Finally, Obenga references several of the papyri in private collections, bought from merchants over the past few centuries, referencing the mathematical capabilities of ancient Egyptians. The Papyrus Rhind, is one in particular which details several problems from calculating the area of a circle in a square with 4 rectangular isosceles to the use of co-tangent to calculate the angles for pyramid building. Overall, a fascinating read. I am thoroughly impressed.

James Acaster 2 Books Collection Set :

James Acaster"s Classic Scrapes:
James Acaster has been nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award five times and has appeared on prime-time TV shows like TASKMASTER, MOCK THE WEEK, LIVE AT THE APOLLO and WOULD I LIE TO YOU? But behind the fame and critical acclaim is a man perpetually getting into trouble. Whether it"s disappointing a skydiving instructor mid-flight, hiding from thugs in a bush wearing a bright red dress, or annoying the Kettering Board Games club, a didgeridoo-playing conspiracy theorist and some bemused Christians, James is always finding new ways to embarrass himself.Appearing on Josh Widdicombe"s radio show to recount these stories, the feature was christened "James Acaster"s classic scrapes". Here, in his first book, James recounts these tales (including never-before-heard stories) along with self-penned drawings, in all their glorious stupidity.

Perfect Sound Whatever:
PERFECT SOUND WHATEVER is a love letter to the healing power of music, and how one man"s obsessive quest saw him defeat the bullshit of one year with the beauty of another. Because that one man is James Acaster, it also includes tales of befouling himself in a Los Angeles steakhouse, stealing a cookie from Clint Eastwood, and giving drunk, unsolicited pep talks to urinating strangers.James Acaster wakes up heartbroken and alone in New York, his relationship over, a day of disastrous meetings leading him to wonder if comedy is really what he wants to be doing any more.
