JanSport Big Student Backpack-School, Travel, or Work Bookbag-with 15-Inch-Laptop Compartment, Black, One Size

I had to get rid of my original Jansport from the early 2000s since the inside was shedding some funky worn down material. While I like all the pockets and space on the new version, they clearly don’t make them as sturdy and heavy-duty as they used to. Hoping this one holds up for at least half as long as my 20-year-old backpack did. But with the flimsy feeling material inside and out and the cheap zippers, I’m not counting on it.

I bought this for my husband who carries a bunch of stuff back and forth between his car and his work truck. He had a Jansport previously and needed a new one because the front pocket ripped (after many years of abuse!) He likes this Jansport even more because it is slightly bigger. Overall, a well made product.

I have had JanSport backpacks since I was in high school, in fact I still have my backpack from high school! So Im brand loyal in getting JanSports for my kids, who 2 are now high schoolers, my 1 still in elementary and even as a diaper bag for my littlest. You can not beat the quality, dependability and even the pricing. My daughter loves the print on this one, the pink and palms is striking and the fabric is sturdy. It has so many pockets! Shes thrilled because it helps keep her more organized, so she can find what she needs in class quickly and keeps things from bumping around. My kids have all talked me into getting them a different brand backpack before, usually for the trendy characters, and we always come back to Jansport.

Bought for my daughter who needs a large, heavy duty backpack to hold a Chromebook and tons of binders. Durable, nice looking and comfortable on shoulder.

Needed a new backpack for nursing school and so far this backpack has been great for it! I can keep all my lab supplies in one of the two big pockets. The other one I keep my laptop, notebooks, and folder. I stay organized with all the pockets. Also has a nice bottle holder on the side.

. . . with secret pockets and hidden areas. But, it has everything I need. First of all I was pleased to discover that it shed water. We have been having a rainy season in my area. Then it has three main compartments for larger items. The one against the back would hold a laptop. Today, I carried home two bottles of wine and a cucumber in the middle compartment. On the front of the backpack are three zippered pockets. One of them is good for cellphones. The middle one carries my wallet since the zipper is recessed and a little harder to get at . . . in case of pickpockets. The front zippered pocket is big enough for my kindle. On the side is a net pocket which carries my face masks. The zippers are sturdy and the clasps are metalic with ties on them to grasp easily. The shoulder straps are well cushioned and comfortable. I still wish for secret pockets but I dont get everything I want.

Purchased this backpack for my high school student. Already within 2 months it’s not holding up to daily use. Disappointed as this brand as been a go to for several years now. This is a older student who takes care of their things and not a child that wears and tears their stuff. Would not purchase or recommend this particular back pack.
