JanSport Cool Student 15-Inch Laptop Backpack-Classic School Bag, Navy, One Size

I was expecting a nice big back pack. This was not much bigger than the nike back pack the kid crams everything in. Returned. Didnt fit our needs. Jansport quality is good. The product arrived well packed.

I received the backpack today from the Jansport seller site on Amazon. It looks to be pretty good backpack, fairly well made, with lots of nifty compartments. But its not the one I ordered. Wrong color, wrong design! I dont like it.

It’s niceeeee

I spent more than I would normally spend bc Jansport backpacks just hold up SO much better than cheaper generic brand backpacks. I have a 6th grader who has only carried jansport and both since kindergarten are in like new condition. She wanted a Grey backpack for middle school so I got her and off brand backpack that got great reviews a strap ripped off and zipper broke half way through the school year so I got her this jansport as a replacement and I am uper satisfied with my purchase, I highly recommend it!!

Great book bag. My granddaughter loved the design and deep pockets of the bag. With a three inch binder, three textbooks, journals, reading books(2), pencil case, and covid-19 gear such as extra mask, wipes, and sanitizer gel - this bag holds almost anything comfortably and she still doesn’t have complaints about carrying it with the padded straps!!! Awesome for middle schooler but big enough for college it high school.

A few welcome changes this time around - a better back pad, a dedicated laptop sleeve in the rear compartment, a sturdier water resistant floor. The fabrics, zippers, and construction look to be as durable as before.

The bag is a great size for my high school student who carries all his binders with him during the day and doesn’t use a locker. I bought him black so it would not show a lot of dirt or stains. When I opened it up, I discovered the lining is white in all pockets. I can see how it could be useful when you are looking for items. However, this bag is for a teenager and I am expecting the liner to look gross in a matter of a day or two. I will keep it because our delivery time was already delayed and his other bag is broken. I trust Jansport as a quality brand but I am not on board with white liners!

Overall, this backpack is made very well and I will definitely use it. However, I wish I had paid a little more attention to a close-up photo of it because I might have noticed that the zippers are hidden by fabric. Aesthetically this is wonderful but practically it’s not. The fabric is a little stiffer than it looks to be in the photos. That shouldn’t be a downside, except it’s kind of hard to zip and unzip the pockets because you have to keep pushing the somewhat stiff fabric out of the way. Even when it was full, I had to tussle with the zipper a bit. I’ve used it for several days now, and it takes more time than I would like to get everything zipped up and then later get everything zipped open without having to mess with the fabric. I hope the fabric becomes a little less stiff with age, or I can picture myself becoming very frustrated with it the more times I use it. If I had seen this at the store and played with it a bit I would not have purchased it.
