Well made, attractive set. The cups are quite nice, solid, and feel good to hold. The red color inside the cups and warming pot is not the same as the pictures. It is more subdued, almost pastel, but still a very nice look. Hot sake is not all that hot, generally not much over 100 degrees F, so the candle is a good way to heat it. Put in perspective, a hot cup of coffee can be almost 200 degrees F, and at least about 165 degrees F I’ve used it once so far and the cups held the warmth well. As expected, they were thick enough, and the temperature of the sake was moderate enough that they did not get too hot.

When I ordered this set I was mostly looking at having a nice set up for keeping the sake warm while my wife and I enjoy a nice meal or are relaxing. This is was way more impressive than I was expecting. First there is the case. It snugly but not awkwardly holds everything. I was planning just to distribute the parts to various shelves, but this set stays as it is, and I feel like I could take this over to friends and have the fun experience of opening it up and taking everything out, while also not worrying about anything being damaged along the way. As to the quality, everything feels sturdy and well crafted. The cups are a tad small, but not by much. For our most recent date night got to break this out and test everything and it all worked like a charm. Very happy and highly recommend.

The wife and I love sushi and also love sake with it. During the winter, I prefer my sake to be hot rather than cold. This is a very beautiful kit and gives you everything you need in order to not only have hot sake, but also to be able to serve it elegantly. The color of the vessels and the cups is magnificent. The red on the interior of the cups is a nice rich and wet look. Outstanding! It comes with a couple of tea candles which are easily purchased elsewhere when you need them, and it comes with a great little electric lighter which is rechargeable via usb. No directions came with this kit, so I would recommend that you place your sake vessel in the warming bowl on top of the cooking or candle bowl and then you add Hot water into the bowl. That way you will get your sake warmed faster. If you simply put cold water in and wait for the candle to warm it and the sake within the vessel, you will be waiting a long time. We use our tea kettle water to start and then the candle keeps it warm enough. It also comes with a case which is really nice looking as well, although, this kit is so beautiful you really want to display it uncased. Hope that helps you today.

This is such a nice Saki set!!! It’s made or ceramic or porcelain and each piece is elegantly handcrafted. The flight board is real wood and is also very beautiful. This would make a great gift, as well!

I bought this for my husband and he absolutely loves it. It’s simple, elegant, affordable and does just what it’s supposed to do. He almost makes a little ritual of it, whenever he feels like a small carafe of hot sake. The only thing my young adult sons complain about is that the lighter (I, personally think it’s a great invention) makes a high frequency sound both boys can’t stand (come to think of it, neither can the dogs - any relation?) Ha! Kidding aside, it’s a great purchase for our needs. Hubby is happy.

It even comes with a heater stand, a candle, an electric lighter and an awesome board for presentation! I love it! Perfect for hot or cold sake. This set has a simple beauty I really like. At first I wasnt sure about the all black with only the red to set it off. But in person and set up it looks so nice. The carry bag is a nice way to store and protect the set. The foam inside is so thick I think you could drop the bag and not break anything inside. And everything fits snugly and is easy to remove. The cups and the flask or Tokkuri have a good solid feel in the hand. The warmer works well. And I think the koi art on the bowl goes well with the overall understated beauty and lines of it all. Im glad I ordered the set because I appreciate it more in person.

I got this as a Christmas gift for a friend. Wow is it beautiful!!!!! Everything is packaged perfectly to be received as a gift. It is very nice quality and even the case it is in is beautiful as well. Highly recommend.
