I thought I was getting something neat and handy to show off on my little basement bar. What I got was a sake kit nice enough for a display cabinet. Dont get me wrong, itll still look fantastic on the bar, and Ill definitely be using it there. In fact, I may even travel with it since it comes in such a sturdy and convenient carrying case. But Ill forever be in awe of just how fancy and stunning this sake kit is. The warmer included in this kit is incredibly convenient and much better than a microwave, and the kit itself once outside of the carrying case is fancy enough for any guests you have over who have a taste for this drink. It includes a serving tray, candles and even a lighter! Get ready to impress friends, family members, business partners and visiting co-workers with a nice, aesthetically cultural set of everything you need for a taste of a popular, traditional Japanese beverage.

Was a gift for my adult son/DIL who has just discovered Saki, but was drinking it out of a cordial glass. Made me cringe. So I looked for a set that was similar to ones I had seen in homes during my travels in the Far East. I am not Asian, so I will not say it is authentic, but it is very similar to what I had seen. And they loved it! especially the warmer and candle lighter.

Well made, attractive set. The cups are quite nice, solid, and feel good to hold. The red color inside the cups and warming pot is not the same as the pictures. It is more subdued, almost pastel, but still a very nice look. Hot sake is not all that hot, generally not much over 100 degrees F, so the candle is a good way to heat it. Put in perspective, a hot cup of coffee can be almost 200 degrees F, and at least about 165 degrees F I’ve used it once so far and the cups held the warmth well. As expected, they were thick enough, and the temperature of the sake was moderate enough that they did not get too hot.

This is my first sake warming set, and so far, its really good! The set is easy to set up, with the bottle fitting perfectly in the water bowl, which fits perfectly on top of the candle warmer and bamboo tray. The provided tealight seems thin for the job, but thicker replacement ones are easy to find once this one goes out. The cups are good quality, with the image of the two fish looking vibrant and nice (probably not dishwasher safe as they are a printed image). My only concern with this case is the plastic zipper and the handle being sewn on. Eventually, the handle can wear out, and some people are prone to destroying zippers, so be careful when opening this. Overall, great set!

Sushi night just got a hot upgrade! Maybe these particular candles are cheap enough for single use and disposal, but the place for the candles to sit in the travel case is much deeper than the two included candles take up. I will probably replace them with standard tea lights if they arent too hot for this unit. Ive used tea lights to heat tea cans before, this is my first Sake set. But everything is nice and the travel/storage case along is a cool feature. The double boiler and everthing is nice, and sits nicely on the serving tray. Everything is built great and I couldnt be happier. Hot sake is where its at!

This set has a simple beauty I really like. At first I wasnt sure about the all black with only the red to set it off. But in person and set up it looks so nice. The carry bag is a nice way to store and protect the set. The foam inside is so thick I think you could drop the bag and not break anything inside. And everything fits snugly and is easy to remove. The cups and the flask or Tokkuri have a good solid feel in the hand. The warmer works well. And I think the koi art on the bowl goes well with the overall understated beauty and lines of it all. Im glad I ordered the set because I appreciate it more in person.

When I ordered this set I was mostly looking at having a nice set up for keeping the sake warm while my wife and I enjoy a nice meal or are relaxing. This is was way more impressive than I was expecting. First there is the case. It snugly but not awkwardly holds everything. I was planning just to distribute the parts to various shelves, but this set stays as it is, and I feel like I could take this over to friends and have the fun experience of opening it up and taking everything out, while also not worrying about anything being damaged along the way. As to the quality, everything feels sturdy and well crafted. The cups are a tad small, but not by much. For our most recent date night got to break this out and test everything and it all worked like a charm. Very happy and highly recommend.
