    Ive experimented with several forms of Vitamin B12 and have found this one to be, BY FAR, the most effective B12 supplement Ive used. Ive used this in conjunction with folinic acid and Jarrows PQQ to improve my brain fog symptoms, and have found them to be VERY effective. No doubt, this is largely thanks to this B12, which is perhaps the highest quality of Vitamin B12 available (Methylcobalamin). Do not settle for less with your supplements; Ive tried cheaper products before and have been greatly disappointed. This one is highly bioavailable; stay away from cyanocobalamin and several others. Jarrows continually pleases me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

    Awesome. I spent my entire life battling social anxiety disorder. I hate all the meds on the market and especially their side effects. After taking a product called True Calm by now foods; I realized my anxiety disorder was caused by my b-6 and b-12 deficiencies. It sucks to have suffered all these years; spent all that money on doctors, shrinks and meds; only to learn all I needed was some very cheap B-vitamins. At 38 I finally have a normal life. Shame on the medical community; they always knew this but they cant patent vitamins and make money off them so they dont tell you how helpful they are. They make money by keeping us sick. Back on topic, be careful not to get the B-12 vitamins that contain cyanide(cyanocobalamin).

    (1)Both products are extremely delicious and its difficult to resist the temptation to eat too much. (2)Both products contain 1000 micrograms of methylcobalamin per tablet and will easily and rapidly dissolve in our mouth. (3)Both products are economically priced but the Jarrow Formulas product is 11.78% cheaper per tablet than the Source Naturals product. (4)One white-colored Jarrow Formulas tablet (lozenge) is much, much larger than one pink-colored Source Naturals tablet. (5)Jarrow Formulas other ingredients: xylitol, cellulose, vegetable-source stearic acid, lemon flavor, vegetable-source magnesium stearate, citric acid, and silicon dioxide. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. (6)Source Naturals other ingredients: mannitol, sorbitol, natural cherry flavor, stearic acid, and magnesium stearate. Conclusion: Source Naturals is better if you want just the methylcobalamin with as little as possible of everything else. Jarrow Formulas is better if you want to enjoy the extremely delicious taste of a much larger tablet (lozenge) at a slightly lower price per tablet. Color Changes: Source Naturals starts out as a tiny, very slightly pinkish, white tablet that turns moderately dark pink if left outside of the pill bottle for 3 to 12 hours. Jarrow Formulas starts out as a large tablet with the exact same, very slightly pinkish, white color. However, unlike the tiny, circular, chewable, Source Naturals tablet, the large, circular, chewable, Jarrow Formulas tablet doesnt change color much if left outside of the pill bottle for 3 to 12 hours. The pink dots on the Jarrow Formulas tablet will get darker and more noticeable after being left outside of the pill bottle for 3 to 12 hours but the original, very slightly pinkish, white color will still be the predominant color. Like other forms of vitamin B12, methylcobalamin is pink and apparently gets even pinker when these tablets react with the humidity in the air. Question: Does methylcobalamin get absorbed better than cyanocobalamin? Answer: Yes, slightly. Question: Does sublingual vitamin B12 get absorbed better than swallowed vitamin B12? Answer: Yes, slightly, but not because the skin under the tongue is any better at absorbing vitamin B12 than the skin of the small intestines, where most of the vitamin B12 absorption occurs. Sublingual merely extends the total length of the absorption zone by about 5%. To get the full benefit of that extra 5%, we would need to keep the sublingual tablet in our mouth for about 15 minutes. The large intestines cannot absorb any vitamin B12, even though plenty of vitamin B12 is always being produced in everybody [including vegans] by the bacteria inhabiting the large intestines. Question: What increases and what decreases vitamin B12 absorption? Answer: Calcium increases vitamin B12 absorption. Vitamin C decreases vitamin B12 absorption. Eating vitamin B12 together with food increases vitamin B12 absorption. THE BIG PICTURE: The human brain shrinks in size as it gets older and vegans, who tend to be deficient in vitamin B12, have the fastest rates of brain shrinkage as they get older while people who swallow vitamin B12 pills tend to have the slowest rates of brain shrinkage as they get older. Meat eaters have slower rates of brain shrinkage compared to vegans but faster rates of brain shrinkage compared to vitamin B12 pill swallowers. Aim to actually absorb exactly 6 to 9 micrograms of vitamin B12 per day to stay at the optimum blood level of vitamin B12. Therefore, my advice to the vast majority of people is: Because we can only absorb about 1.05% of the vitamin B12 that we swallow, we need to swallow one 500 microgram pill once each day or one 5,000 microgram pill once each week to end up absorbing the optimum amount.

    I love these! I don’t eat meat, and only eat fish occasionally, but I always have great B12 levels when my blood is drawn. I worked in supplemental sales for a few years and always steered people towards Jarrow products and have a well practiced spiel about methy vs. cyano cobalamin. After going from low b-levels to the higher end of WNL, I believe my own sales pitch.

    Just before this I was using another B12 supplement which was not chewable. I felt no improvement in my energy levels. I was still feeling weak after a short workout (thats when I started taking them as my B12 were alarmingly low). Even after 4 months of use, improvement was negligible. I switched to this chewable tablet option and in a month I see myself back to normal and can workout as I used to about a year ago. I dont know why are the swallowing tablets even sold at all. They arent effective when it comes to B12 vitamin. It has to be taken through tongue as even doctor advised. My 2 cents that we should always go for chewable option for B12. And this one works like a charm. After about an year of struggle and stress on why I am so weak, I now finally feel great again!

    There is a lot to say here but I will try to keep this brief. * Order process: Product ordered, received on time, condition good, etc. etc. Everything fine there. * Why I tried it: Information concerning the; advantages of Methyl form of B12 over other forms; the advantages of the sub-lingual form over others; symptoms that can result from lack of B12; the bodys reduced ability to absorb B12 with age; are all available on the internet already. I wont bother repeating that stuff here. Im getting old enough (60s) that age related reduced absorption could start to become an issue. Wanted to try a sub-lingual form of supplement to see if it would improve my insomnia (B12 required for generation of melatonin), reduced ability of muscles to recover after strenuous exercise (B12 required for cell repair), and maybe other little issues that I had attributed to normal aging. * Dose: I started taking one of these a day. I place it under my tongue and let it slowly dissolve there. I think that others that complain that it doesnt dissolve fast enough and are chewing it are defeating the effectiveness of the supplement. For absorption through mucus membranes percent of absorption will be directly related to length of exposure. You want to try to keep it there as long as possible. (For me its usually almost an hour.) * Results: After a week or so I noticed that I seemed to be sleeping better. I actually started to have dreams; havent done that in almost a decade. Also noticed improvement in muscle recovery after exercise; they dont stay sore for a week or more like they used to. * Other unexpected results: My distance vision seems to have improved. I can read the fine print on the HD TV without my glasses. Couldnt do that before. The spider veins on my legs, that have been developing for the last several years, are going away. First noticed this after a couple of weeks of taking the supplement but didnt believe it. After 4 weeks, defiantly something happening. They change from dark blue/purple to magenta to red to pink and then fade away to the point where they are no longer visible. Its been a couple of months now and I would estimate, at this point, that they are about 70% gone. (My wife started taking this stuff shortly after I did; she is seeing the same improvement.) It seems that my facial hair, which was all gray, seems to be getting darker; some of the normal color is coming back. If I dont shave for a few days it shows more than it used to. * Other changes that could contribute to results: Have only made one other change in diet/lifestyle prior to starting this supplement. Two months before starting the B12 I looked at our sodium intake in response to a different condition that my wife has; found that it was quite high. As a result we reduced our dietary sodium intake by a lot. I did not notice the changes mentioned above until after we started taking the B12 but the reduced sodium intake could be a contributing factor to the improvements.

    Tastes good. Very affordable B12 vitamin. B12 is supposed to help the immune system function and provide energy. I bought these based on positive reviews. So far I have no complaints.

    If your doctor gives you a cyanide molecule B12 he doesnt know supplements and I wouldnt trust him with natural care. Most arent really trained in that; they learn pharmaceuticals and surgeries. You want holistic care you find an ND who will tell you methyl based B12 is best. Still, I wonder why its so difficult to find. Thank you Amazon

    Its a good product. If you think you are going to take this and be running a marathon suddenly, not quite like that. It does work, but its mild. It just gives you a little energy boost, very subtle, you realize you have more energy or are more awake then you would be otherwise. Always check as b12 in thisbformbisbsafe and beneficial to the body but most b12 supplements uses the cheaper forms that sound like cyanide for a reason:)
