I dual purposes my pair that I bought. I use them in my apt. They are more than any individual needs for a studio or one bed. They could rock 10,000 square foot room for sure!!

I purchased the Charge 5 to connect with my Charge 4 speaker. Unfortunately JBL adopted a new connection standard named Party Boost which is not compatible with the Connect+ standard used in earlier JBL speakers. Given that JBL has sold thousands and thousands of Connect 4 and earlier speakers you would think it would provide support for them. I am debating weather to return the Charge 5 and get another Charge 4 or to purchase another Charge 5. Not thrilled with either option.

Definitely a nice add on.

I have 2 of these now, great sound quality, very robust, and long battery life, even on high volume.

The sound from the charge 3 sounded better to me (in my humble opinion.) The charge 3 had an aux input, and a built in mic which the charge 5 doesnt have, hell it didnt even come with a wall charger (what a jip.) The battery life is decent for a speaker that size, but not for the money; I nearly paid two hundred dollars for this product for it to have missing parts? Not worth it if you ask me, it might be due to inflation, and the decline of our economy... standards have dropped, and if you asked me Id say wait for a price drop then buy this product because it is not worth the nearly two hundred price tag.
