> 3 dayThe Flip 6 really surprised me. I seriously did not expect such big sound from such a small, portable speaker. For its size, the bass is pretty amazing. Its not boomy at all like cheap bass-boosted speakers, however, its not extremely tight like a studio monitor either. But for what it is it sounds pretty amazing. The mids do seem just a little scooped (just a little) but very clear. The highs are crisp, up front, and not fatiguing. The overall sound really is almost perfect. Is it flat? Oh, definitely not, but youre not buying this for mixing or critical listening. After a lot of testing I did use the app to bump the low and high EQ up one notch. For low to medium volumes this improves an already great sound a little more. I did not boost the mids even though they sound a little scooped as the jump from center to one notch sounds a little much to me. I have not tested this at very high volumes much as its not applicable to how I use it (I dont like really loud noise or music). Battery life, of course, is not 12 hours. I have been getting 7-8 hours at half volume or less. I did a couple of tests at 50% volume playing a mix of podcasts and music and got 6 hours when playing mostly music and about 8 hours when playing mostly podcasts. Good enough for me - I use it a total of about 2 hours a day, so this still gives me several days in between charges. Bluetooth range is excellent as are most bluetooth products made withing the last 5 years. Line if sight is at least 50 feet - I didnt test beyond that as I dont need it. Wall penetration is outstanding. I was outside on my upstairs porch using it while my phone was inside downstairs (both near a south facing wall) about 20 feet apart in a straight line though 1 floor, 1 interior wall, and 1 exterior wall. No skips, stutters or disconnects. Forgot to mention all my testing and use has been with an iPhone SE 3rd Gen. I dont really use any other bt devices. If this breaks after at least a year, I will certainly buy a new one. Ive used this for at least a couple of hours every day since I received it.

Greater than one weekThis speaker has a great sound. It picks up the smallest amount of bass and blasts it! The sound feels the room and it has a Great charge life. And very portable! So glad I made this purchase. The color is awesome too!

> 3 dayThis is a very nice speaker. It is very loud and clear and it has very good bass. Its easy to carry around with the case that you can buy for it and it lasts a really long time. The only thing I would like is if it showed the exact battery percentage. Its shown on a light bar on the side but that is it. It doesnt show if it is charging on your device or what percentage it is at.

> 3 dayPandora is new to me, so is the notion of portable music. Well not exactly... I had a transister radio in the early 60s which beat my 50s crystal radio. Some where along the way listening to and sharing music, fell in to, get togethers around the sterio, or traveling in the car. 8 tracks where grand! I am used to some control of EQ. This unit has no easy provision for this. May be an app? The current fad is base heavy. This has a habit of clouding vocals. This Flip 6 is built and marketed to a less than audiophile demographic. I am amazed how much umph and grunt such a compact unit can produce! It lacks any aux inputs, which is disappointing. It would be nice to use our loaded ipods. To this end I tried a bluetooth adapter. It sucks off so much signal in the mids and upper mids, I gave up on that idea, before searching for better adaptors. Instead I went for a Charge 4. It is not as derailed as the Flip 6, but a nudge up in power, remarkable. This new portable excitement, brought me around to a JBL Go 3. This is what I use the most. Its size harkens back to the day when I scrounged around trying to come up with batteries to keep my transistor radio going.
