We used these to hook gear in our canoe on a river trip. The strap looped around the support bar and we hooked a carabiner to the bags.

We load and unload motocross bikes several times a week. These are a must have. They make the process easier and if you put them around the forks between the triple clamps they make the angle between the tie down points on the trailer floor and the bike less acute making the bikes more secure. I use them to anchor the bikes to my maintenance bench as a little extra security.

I use them on my cargo trailer to secure a cargo net to hold my gear. They allow you to secure the load at the exact point needed. They also work great with ratcheting straps.
