Unfortunately our arrived with the pig handle broken and I didn’t notice until after the return window closed. It’s also too small for our plates circumference which is I feel is an average plate, but it was my bad for not measuring. However, the plastic seems really sturdy and it does it’s job on dishes it fits over!

This is by far the cutest microwave lid Ive ever had. Its nice and deep so it doesnt set on top of your food.

I had a very difficult time deciding whether I should buy the Oink Oink lid because most of the comments regarding this product said that its cute and they love using it. This didnt tell me very much, but I decided to purchase it because of the low cost. Im going to share what I wish I would have read, plus, Im going to be comparing this product to another lid I recently purchased (Tovolo Collapsible Microwave Cover). 1. EASY TO CLEAN. The Oink Oink microwave lid is smooth, which makes it incredibly easy to clean! Im comparing the smoothness of this product to the Tovolo Collapsible Microwave Cover. I personally found the Tovolo product difficult to clean because the material easily stained and the grooves made it difficult to clean. So, when I used the Oink Oink lid I was extremely happy that it didnt stain (even with pasta sauce) and the smoothness made it easy to scrub. 2. EASY TO HOLD. I read a few reviewers say that the handle was too flat and difficult to hold. I suppose its a matter of perspective. My husband and I find it easy to grab the knob. Again, when compared to the Tovolo collapsible cover, which has a standard three-finger hold, the fat little pig is super easy to grab! Its amazing how big of a difference this pig knob makes! You can grip this thing with all your fingers, which is what makes it so easy to hold. 3. GOOD DIMENSIONS (EVEN FOR MEAL PREP). Some reviewers said that the Oink Oink is too low for their purposes, so it really made me worry. However, after using it several times, I have had no issues with the height of this product. My biggest concern regarding dimensions is that we use rectangular meal prep containers that we microwave throughout the week. This is important for me because the Tovolo collapsible covers grooves kept sticking to our rectangular meal prep dishes, so when we would pull the lid, our meal prep dish would lift with it!! This was terribly annoying for us. Because of that experience, I was being extra critical of the Oink Oink lid to see if anything like this would happen. To my pleasant surprise, nothing bad happened! According to the product details, the dimensions for the Oink Oink microwave lid are 10.2 x 10.2 x 3.5 inches. For our use, the Oink Oink dimensions are superb: our rectangular meal prep dishes dont stick to the lid, the top of the microwave lid never touches our food, it works for small plates and large 10.5 dinner plates (please note the Oink Oink sits on top of the large plates about 2/16 from the edge). 4. IT WORKS. The Oink Oink lid does exactly what its supposed to do: keep the microwave splatter-free. The air vents on the Oink Oink are actually pretty thick when compared to the Tovolo collapsible lid, so I was checking very closely to make sure there was no splatter coming through the vents. There were none! 5. SUPER CUTE. I have to write this last because it has nothing to do with the practical use of this product. The point is that it works and its perfect for all of our needs, but Ill be darned ... this thing is super cute! In sum, after using the Oink Oink lid several times with several dishes, it is my opinion that this is the most well-rounded microwave lid. I hope your experience with this lid is as positive as it was for me. I SERIOUSLY love it!
