A needed tool if you are running cable. Works great to tone the lines.

worked, first time. Saved me a ton of aggravation tracking down wires. You can accomplish the same thing rigging up a 9volt battery to one end of cable and completing the circuit at the other end with a bulb or speaker, but, shoot, for this kind of dough, its not worth the aggravation to put all that together. Git you one of these.

Item arrived defective. Tested on multiple cable wires. Could not get a sound. Could not get any lights. Tested on wires that are known to work and nothing. Tried multiple batteries. Directions are next to useless and I am a pretty handy guy. Ill buy a better brand next time. Sending it back.

Got this for my boyfriend, he works for Comcast so hes always using it, he loves it
