The storage space included in this case is great; why the Valve-supplied case has a strap and indent on the bottom makes zero sense. Add to the extra under-Deck storage the inclusion of SD card holders and a decent stand for the Deck, and this all adds up to quite a good product.

Update: I switched to the new upgraded model with much more storage. I highly recommend it. Overall Im very happy with it, especially for the price. I like that it has so many more features and almost the exact same size as the Valve case. Sturdiness feels about the same, maybe slightly better on the official case. I only have two complaints: Firstly, the prop/stand slightly blocks the rear intake vent, so in some cases you might get reduced performance due to overheating. Hopefully a future revision addresses this. Secondly, this is just personal preference, but the storage compartment is too small for me. I can fit either of these: The official dock and charger, or a mini-controller (8Bitdo SN30 Pro) + cables, or a compact battery bank. When traveling, I have to decide ahead of time which ones I will need, or bring the extra accessories separately. If a different version of the product offered a slightly wider and deeper carrying case, you would have room for all three, which would be the ultimate all-in-one solution.

Look nice, But handle broken.

I love the case, but micro SD cards disappear in the slots for them in the case. The slots are significantly larger than the cards, and so its like losing a dollar in a deep/tight pocket. Theyre not going anywhere, but the SD cards are not easy to remove.

I wanted to be able to carry my Steam Deck charger securely. Not outside the case on the original. This case will hold my charger and some earbuds but not my charging brick. The steam deck sits a little high but it does zip nicely. I just wish I could take my charging brick and cable too.

Its basically the same as the Steam case except the storage is inside. If you dont use a protective case and just want to move the storage inside this is an ok option. The SD holders arent for micro SD. The mesh pocket flips upside down when opening, sometimes what was in there falls out. When the steam deck is in the case, putting anything not completely flat inside the mesh pocket causes a buldge. A Steam Deck with a protective case will fit inside and close but the panel that covers the screen doesnt lay flat. The velcro that holds the steam deck in place wore out within a week and was useless.

Out of all the cases Ive tried for the Steam Deck, this is the most versatile one out there. The form factor is small enough to put into a backpack without conceding a lot of space, while being sturdy enough to protect your Steam Deck from instances of compression and impacts while on the go. The analog sticks are protected by an indented space which prevents them from getting damaged in the chance of such events as well. The desktop stand takes only seconds to set up and is fixed by a Velcro strap with slack to compensate for when you have items in the storage pocket on the underside of the stand, such as earbuds or a wallet. The storage pocket on mine is completely full right now and the stand is just as sturdy as when its empty! Just above the storage pocket are 5 slots for regular-sized SD cards, which i feel is irrelevant to the platform since the Deck only takes micro SD, but you can put your micro SD card(s) into one of the adapters that usually come with the card itself as a workaround. The storage cavity in the bottom of the case is large enough to hold the AC adapter, a small power bank, and even an external 2.5 external hard drive all at the same time. The only real issue I have with the case is the handle. I think it would make more sense for the handle to be located on the same side as the zipper seam to reduce the chances of picking up the case while its unzipped, which could cause the Deck to fall out and get damaged, but thats not a knock on the quality of the case itself, just an anecdotal design flaw. Overall, Im very happy with this purchase and have confidence in this cases ability to protect my investment!
