Jump Start Typing

Great.

My little guy is only 6 and most typing programs out there were just too advanced for him. Now he loves this one. Easy to use and he is learning tons from it.

First of all, let me start by saying that we are members of the jumpstart website which offers great education games. The graphics are amazing on this website. This game however, was written a while ago and the graphics are very old school. My eight year old will practice her typing but only if prompted because she just isnt into it as much as she is on the website. Too bad the website doesnt offer typing! This game encourages proper hand placement and basic keyboarding skills but the games are a bit repetitive and the reward levels dont offer much incentives.

Great product if it worked on xp and Vista computers like it claims but nothing xp or newer can really play it with any kind of quality its just too old in format

It was stated in the description that I did not need an internet connection to use this product. This is false. It would not let me use the product without first registering it online, and It was not compatible with my lap top. Im very disappointed. A waist of money

I purchased for my daughter, and as a beginning typer I thought that this would work well for her. It might if she enjoyed playing it. I guess I was thinking of the old programs we used as youngsters in keyboarding class and this just isnt it. For older kids it may but for the younger age group I wouldnt recommend

My son adores this CD Rom! I thought he would be bored by it easily, but he loved it and wanted to keep playing past time when home school ended. He is only 7 but he thought it was so fun and really felt motivated to keep going to the next level and get faster and less mistakes. He is already typing 18 wpm! Much better than I was when I began learning!I highly recommend this program for anyone, any age. My 12 year old will be learing to type properly next. The shipping was fast and everything arrived as expected!

My son who is 7 is just starting out typing, and I played this game and it is a lot more advanced then I thought it would be. Its more for older kids that have a lot more experience with typing.
