> 3 dayI have had very good luck with all Kasa automation products. For this, I needed an outdoor plug-in switch to run my patio party lights. Very easy to hook up to our home wifi system and integrate with our Echo devices. There are two plugs, so you can control two things separately if you want. Overall, very easy setup and use. I did install an new outdoor receptacle cover to make this up to code, since I am leaving it plugged in all of the time.

> 3 dayI really like the kasa brand. Its made my TP-Link and I have their deco mesh routers, kasa smart plugs and switches. Set-up is easy, the app is great and everything early pairs with Google Home.

Greater than one weekit was great but it didn’t have a dim option. if you need a dimmer get the 1 plug. this one doesn’t have it.

> 3 dayWe have Kasa lights and switches all over. The smart plug we use outside at Christmas and program them with Google. All we have to do is say hey Google turn on Christmas lights and bam! Love it!

Greater than one weekI got this to use with my holiday decorations. It works perfectly. If the directions are followed you do have to be aware that if water gets into it, he will either short or cause GFCI outlets to trip. When using outdoors, it’s best to make sure the plugs are facing down and are clear of the grounds of water and mud don’t splash up into them.

> 3 dayWe use this to plug in two string light strands in our backyard. Works seamlessly through Alexa for voice command to turn them on and off. Could also place on a schedule if you wanted. It is outside permanently, so we wrapped the plugs in electrical tape just for extra protection and to keep them plugged in with tension on the line. Have never needed to mess with it since the install. Going to buy another one this year for Xmas lights.

> 3 dayAlexa Integration Rating: Installing this plug required using the Kasa App on my phone. I already had 5 fully functional Kasa plug in place. When I tried to use the Kasa app to install the new plug 4 of the 5 existing plugs ceased to work. I spent hours getting the 4 plugs and the new plug to work. The fifth plug doesnt show up on the Kasa app but it works perfectly. Remote Control Rating: I dont know if the problem is with Alexa or Kasa but sometimes both plugs on the new Kasa plug turn on when I have only asked for one to turn on. The names for the plugs may be too similar so it could be a user problem.

> 3 daySuper easy to set up. The app could be a little better, but once you mess around with it a bit its simple. I havent tried the Alexa Integration yet. Im using it mostly for an outdoor light timer so that feature wasnt important to me. The build quality and materials are solid. All the seams lined up well, no gaps and the electrical core junction, plug and casing are well sealed and up to the task for an outdoor installation. The plug covers could be a bit more substantial, but since I have both plugs occupied full time, thats not important to me. I was impressed with the strength of the signal reception. I was able to install this inside a metal exterior wiring box for a nice clean look and still have a perfectly strong signal.

> 3 dayThe best HomeKit (HK) compatible outdoor plug IMO. Why? You can control both sockets independent of one another in HK/Kasa! I have not come across another HK compatible plug that does this. Quality seems generally adequate and on par with most plugs on the market. Deducting a star for some initial pairing issues with HK--had to power reset one while the other paired immediately. No worries--worked after the 3rd try. Additionally, the socket covers are REALLY soft and flimsy. Not a deal breaker if these are in a covered enviorment but I wouldnt expect them to last long especially if exposed to direct sun for long periods. Overall, there are few HK choices so I consider this the best! Highly recommended--once up and going these work perfectly to power our holiday lights.
