> 3 dayWe use this on a lamp, that enables us 3 ways to turn it on: 1) while we was away, I used the app to turn on the lamp, 2) before we leave the house, we tell Alexa we are leaving the house, and based on your geographical location, she will turn on the lamp at dusk, and 3) while u r home, tell Alexa to turn on the lamp, and tell her when u want it turned off, and she will turn it on when requested, and turn it off when requested. So far, no problems. Luv it!

21-11-2024The Kasa plugs are fantastic. You download their app for setup. Alexa immediately recognizes the plugs. I just got a third Kasa smart plug and when I opened the Kasa app, it added the new plug immediately, I did not push on anything, BOOM. Then I opened Alexa, gave it a new name and added it to a group. Easey Peasey! Snatch them up if you see them on sale.

> 3 dayI like automation. Have one on a desk light, used daily. Has a plug-in slide dimmer on a wire between it and the lamp, so it turns on on a command, and dims from a wire. Have one on my motorcycle trickle charger. I can just turn it on timer for an hour or two to top off the battery, if I feel the bike has not had enough use. I have not scheduled, but would imagine that works well, also. Used it on the Christmas tree, too. Alexa, turn on plug Tree worked great! (Go Brooklyn!) The enclosure could be a little less real-estate hungry...

Greater than one weekThis outlet was easy to setup and great with alexa. Had no problems yet it connects every time to turn lights on and off. Cost a little more the the cheaper one i bought but work a lot better.

> 3 dayThese timers are great for customizing your on-off lighting needs during the day and they are far simpler and less costly than the Philips Hue system we have in part of our house. With these timers, there is no hub needed and you can program them in many configurations. Of course, they work well with Alexa. I would definitely buy more of these when needed.

> 3 dayThe Kasa app is how you initially set it up. After that, you set it up in the Amazon Alexa app. Worked easily and right away. I use this plug for my book light. Every night, I say, Echo, turn on book light. Then my Echo Dot lady says Okay and turns it on. In the morning, I have a routine on my Alexa app. The Echo Dot tells me what day it is, turns on the book light, then plays some music. So the integration is fantastic.

> 3 dayThis item works very well. We have Lutron Caseta devices throughout the house, but their dimmers and devices are wonky with LED lights sometimes. The on-off binary nature of this TP Link device makes these devices better for things light string lights and some table lamps that use low power. Setup is easy. The only recommendation is to skip reading the paper instructions with the package and setup the device through the Alexa app right out of the box.

> 3 dayI got several of these to use with non-smart lights around the house, including two strings of Christmas lights and an overhead lamp. The plugs are easy to set up in the Kasa software and to import into the Google Home app for use with Google Assistant. the plugs also have a manual on-off switch on the side of the plug for when you dont want to use voice control. Ive had a couple of these for two years and use them on a daily basis. The only thing that could be better is that they are wide and if your plugging into a power strip they may cover up other outlets (depending on the orientation of the outlets on the power strip), but thats easy enough to work around. T-P Link is a decent brand and the price is right on these -- since every brand of device will likely require its own app to set up and manage them, picking one brand and sticking with it is a good idea. Once you have it set up in Google Assitant or Alexa, you probably will only need to use the Kasa app if you want to re-set the device, just fyi.

> 3 dayCould never have set it up myself - I am not techy. My daughter set it up and it took her quite awhile. I suggest the manufacturers make installation quite a bit easier if they expect to sell more of these in the future. I’d bought a second one but my daughtet is in no rush to open the box!!
