Unfinished and kind of rough but not splintery. Would be perfect to paint if you didn’t want a natural wood look. There are six total, double sided. Overall I’m very happy with the quality. Great value for the price!

I did not receive the 5 month wooden sign...so my picture will look off! Super disappointing!

I have been enjoying using these as a cute prop for our monthly photos. This morning I set up our little photo drop and went to get the “four months” circle just to find we did not get a month four. The back of month three was blank. Very disappointing as I was looking forward to having this photo each month for the first year.

Wish I would’ve checked all of these before each milestone month! Missing the 8 month one and won’t have anything for my son to take pictures with tomorrow. Not cool!
