KAVU Original Rope Sling Pack with Adjustable Rope Shoulder Strap

If you’re like me you see that there are several different versions of this bag with slightly different names. The one I purchased was made out of a polyester material, not too thin, not too thick. It really is not a large pack/purse. The pocket on the inside of the main pouch is not large enough to accommodate a 7+ iPhone. However, the large pocket w/zipper on the front is. The small Velcro pocket is perfect to toss your keys in. When you’re looking at the bag head on there is the main large pocket on the left side - two small pockets in the middle - and on the right side there is a smaller pocket the smaller pocket on the right side of the front is not large enough to accommodate my 32 ounce Hydro flask. This is really a day pack and it was made substantially heavier by the simple inclusion of my wallet. This is a very small pack and if you needed to bring an extra shirt or pair of pants I don’t think you would be able to put anything else in this bag. I also purchased the Paxton pack. The purpose for this purchase was to be a day pack to carry the stuff I need for my kids for a day out. The Paxton pack is my choice for the following reasons. The mesh pouch in the Paxton Paxton large interior pocket goes from the top of the bag to the bottom allowing you to keep much larger items secure in that main compartment. It also has a pocket built into the back panel that is large enough to accommodate a 7+ iPhone. The zipper pocket on the front of the packs and pack has a lanyard and it so you can hook your keys on it also that pocket goes all the way from the bottom to the top of the bag so it is not just a pocket on the bottom portion you could put something in there that is longer. It does also have a mesh cupholder however it is not a great size for me but I will still use it for kids cups. I would definitely be able to pack diapers, wipes, snacks, my items, and still be able to wing this thing around easily. The bag seem to be made very similar, water resistant, ripstop polyester material. I spent about two days pouring over different reviews and comparisons of all of the different bags and my advice is this-if you want something cute get the rope swing or one of the variations of that bag. If you want something a little bit more functional get the Paxton pack

This is the third Kavu bag Ive purchased, and although I really do love its size and comfort factor (and that goes for my other two smaller Kavu bags as well), I will probably be returning it. The main reason for this is the color of the bag I bought in the pattern Trail Marker wasnt accurately represented in the pictures. Although the purse looks to be a light khaki color in the listing, its actually more of a darker tan with almost olive undertones. Im not certain if this is because the fabric is polyester instead of cotton (which I actually like since its waterproof), but I was definitely a little disappointed to see such a drastic color difference, which is why its lost a star in my review. But as for the rest of the bag, I really was happy with it! The size was great and it felt comfortable on my back. My Samsung Galaxy S6 phone is too big to fit in the top front pocket, but it fits in the zippered front pocket just fine. I also like the dual compartments -- the largest one is on the left and has its own interior pocket, and the smaller one is on the right. Its enough space for all your items to have their own room and to keep things separate if necessary. I didnt think Id like the rope strap since I had doubts that itd be comfortable, but its actually nice. And as I said before, I did like the polyester material. It seems like it would clean up nicely after a spill and keep your things dry during light rain, which is a great plus. At this point Ive ordered a cotton version of this bag in another print (Range), and Im hoping that it will be truer to the picture than this print was. Overall Kavu makes great bags, but this particular pattern just wasnt for me.

I love this bag!! The nylon is so Much better than the canvas version because you can wipe clean and its waterproof. Also it doesnt pick up fuzz like the canvas. Awesome bag.

I used this during a recent Disney trip and it was GREAT. Comfortable, held enough stuff including a water bottle and did not irritate my shoulder. I will be using it again when we go to Hawaii next.

I love using this as my “purse” or a hiking bag. Very comfortable.

Like it but would not be a good travel bag

After a lot of searching and many other bags now hanging in my closet having failed their duties I settled on the kavu bag. Its job is to be my everyday carry bag, I dont carry much, but I need to carry the essentials: wallet, phone, keys, hand sanitizer, mask(s), snack. It fits all that and has room for more! Easy on and off with the clip. Roomy easy access pockets on left and right. Small pocket hold keys and small spray sanitizer easily. Easy fit-readjusts quickly and easily. The rope straps are surprisingly comfortable. All in all, so far its a great bag. Ill update later with a better idea of wear and tear over time and use.

Kavu bags are sturdy, beautiful, and tough. Add tons of different prints and color block designs to make them yours, and they check all the boxes! Will last for years, too.

I use this for work (I’m an RN). It’s easy to carry and holds everything I need! Plus it’s so cute!!
