> 24 hourI used these on a hilti 4 1/2 angle grinder and to my surprise they worked very well. I used them to polish up some stainless steel plates I had, and they last through a decent amount of use too.

> 24 hourThese worked great with my existing hitachi angle grinder. I just bought a 96 F-150 pickup and the paint was oxidized, mostly on the hood. These pads, along with various polishing compounds, did an amazing job in bring my trucks paint back from the dead.

> 24 hourBought these felt wheels several months ago and immediately noticed they would not fit on my 5/8-11 angle grinder. They look to be a quality product but when I forced the grinder nut onto wheel, the plastic base split. There was definitely an interference but gave it a try to compound fiberglass. Aside from not running true because the the fit issue, it seems to be a good wheel. Finally had time to sit down and locate the problem. The inner diameter of the felt is about 1.60, the same diameter as my spindle lock nut. That makes for a very tight fit but since the felt is soft, you can force the spindle nut on. Here is where the real problem is. The molded plastic base of the wheel has a 16 mm opening which fits over the 5/8-11 spindle. It does not however index on the 0.8 inch backing Plate but sits on about a 1/8 inch lip of the plate. From the 16 mm hole, it flat to about 1.30 inches and then begins a taper upward to 1.42 for a height of 0 .130. It holds 1.42 diameter for about 0.122 height then opens to 1.55. There is no way a square shouldered 1.60 spindle lock nut us going to fit into 1.42, let alone the taper to 1.30 inches. Even if you deform the plastic 1.55 opening, having it rest on the narrow 0.065 ledge will not work either. Turning a stepped and tapered spacer would place the lock nut too close to the felt surface and risk marring your work piece. Turning down the spindle lock nut and tapering the back is a potential solution. Needless to say this is a huge workaround.
