> 24 hourIt makes a dang fine smooth tapered hole. Have several fanged countersinks in the box; all exhibit steps around the edges. This one, with the sharp circular hole, is a design achievement.

> 24 hourI bought the 10 dollar Irwin countersink. Hey its a cheap bit what can go wrong? Everything! The countersinks came out looking like a flower, ridges and valleys, horrible! Even clamped down with a drill press. Back to shopping for a better bit I found this, and it is like night and day. It repaired the horrible Irwin countersinks with ease and left shiny smooth round countersinks for my bolts to snug into. No idea how long it will last, but I will never go back to a finned countersink. the smooth base 1 hole types are where it is at. This countersink works great!

> 24 hourThis thing is SUCH a joy to use! Ive never used a countersink which produces such perfectly smooth, clean and precise results in wood and plastic, every time. Why didnt i buy one of these sooner?!

> 24 hourI bought this to counter sink the holes I was drilling for threaded inserts. When I first opened it, I wasnt expecting much, but it did great against red oak. Would purchase again.

> 24 hourGreat for use on wood. I first drill the pilot hole to the finished size, then use this tool to create a countersink. It cuts the wood very quickly and smoothly. It leaves no chatter marks the way traditional wood countersinks often do.

> 24 hourBest counter sink Ive used for counter sinking metal. Didnt think it would last this long but it has long since paid for itself. Would absolutely recommend and repurchase when the time comes. Superior quality. Scoops like ice cream!

> 24 hourI’m a woodworker and needed a countersink for a 1/2” screw head and none of my standard drill-bit countersink combo but were large enough for the 1/2” head. I had a more conventional countersink only bit but it left a lot of chatter on the surface of the cut that looked terrible. This bit was the ticket in hard maple, worked quickly and very smooth and easy to control. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourI bought this to counter sink screws in a diy closet cabinet build, and I love this thing. I was skeptical of the design at first, but this thing works better than any other countersink I own. Even in situations where I use a different countersink, I give a light pass over the hole with this one to smooth it out or remove burrs. I will never again not own one of these.
