> 24 hourI had always used the cheapest solder I could find until I had some instruction from an electronics teacher with some good quality Kester solder. The difference is huge. I had some cheap solder with Chinese writing on it and tried it side by side with the Kester and the ease of use is very noticeable. This stuff melts more easily, flows where it should, and doesnt make those nasty blobs with tails. I had been thinking I was doing something wrong getting ugly solder joints. Turns out crap solder makes crap joints. Kester solder (with the right ratio) makes excellent solder joints.

> 24 hourI bought the sample tube of this solder a few months ago, and after having some larger projects, I ran out and replaced it with the 1lb spool. This solder is the best solder Ive used, and the small diameter is great for SMD projects. As long as you are somewhere where you can use leaded solder, this is my go-to solder and I will likely buy another spool with larger diameter for large THT parts as well. The spool holder isnt included with the roll, it is a 3D printed design.

> 24 hourExcellent solder! I was really surprised at the heft of this roll. Great for re-flow, and drag soldering.

> 24 hourThe solder was fine but it was wound improperly on the spool. As a result, the solder wire had to be cut because it kept getting stuck (tangled) in the spool. Never had this problem with other spools of solder that I had prior to this one. As a result, the entire spool was wasted.

> 24 hourWorked very well for soldering SMD components down to 0.5 mm pitch.

> 24 hourPrefer this smaller size for a lot of electronic work as it wicks better - does not ball up like .030 can. I do use .030 as well though. For most applications use this 63/37 not 60/40 it flows much better and gives a better looking joint
