Super shiny, flows nice, just enough activation to cut through some light crud. Kester quality made in USA. DOM was just a few months ago. Fresh!

This solder flows amazingly well. It Shines like it has silver load in it. Would recommend to anyone that is looking for high quality solder! If you get this solder make sure you pick up a Flux scrubbing brush with it as this is does leave a bit of Flux on the board.

If youre just soldering your stereo speakers with your radio shack soldering iron, move along! This is VERY narrow strand... .02mm Intended for small sensitive electronics work. PERFECT for reparing micro electonics, such as .3mm resistors, in todays electronic devices.

This is far and away the cheapest retail for this product. I needed quality no-clean solder fast, and Amazon delivered. Im accustomed to using 2% or 3% flux, so I did have to turn the temperature up a bit on my iron, but it flows very smoothly. I am very pleased with my projects so far. Yes, there is a bit of cleaning afterward, certainly nothing like cleaning rosin flux for hours.

I can work with this at 250 Celsius and it works amazing on both SMD and Thru-Hole packages. The finish is very shiny and the eutectic nature of the alloy gives very clean finishes. The 1.1% flux is alright but using additional flux is very helpful because the flux in the solder evaporates quickly. Note for SMD soldering, 0603 packages is the smallest you should be soldering with this (mainly what I solder), its doable but even then you need to be careful to not apply too much. For smaller packages it is too big, for thru-holes its perfect. Overall brilliant product, absolute must have for hobbyists.

It is skinny and nice. Does the job quite well! The flux is good too. Also, there is so much, I will be able to use it for the next few years.

Great Solder. Kester is a great brand. Very clean and low fumes. Great for general electronics.
