We use the basket . . . lined with the paper filter. Double trouble. It is just what we do and it works.

If it was pure gold it would give a off taste to your coffee. I do think I like my pure platinum filter a bit better but its harder to clean. Really, this works perfectly.

It’s wonderful not to spend money on filters. I love the fact you get natural oils from the coffee and wonderful flavor. A+++

Unlike a regular paper filter. This filter allows larger particles to get through. Giving me being a kind of sludge in the bottom of my coffee cup. I do like not having to lift out a paper filter dripping on the floor.
