> 24 hourA great prequel to the series. At first I thought the series was kind of lame in terms of story, although the game play was fun. After extensively playing birth by sleep, I felt like the story is very in depth and the characters and their relationships (including KH 1 and 2) are fun to watch unfold. I always thought the idea of their hearts were lame and childish but now I can see a deeper meaning and how it relates more to the overall story. Maybe its my own meaning I put onto the game but nevertheless I enjoy and cant wait until the next release to fill in the pieces.

> 24 hourLove the game, have been wanting it for a while. Everything came as described, came in the game case with the instruction booklet and a code for a PSP theme I believe.

> 24 hourI have never played a Kingdom Hearts game, as I do not own a PS2, backwards compatible PS3, or NDS. However, when I saw this game was coming out I was captivated. I purchased it recently, and am playing it now. I love the story telling, and the ability to play through the game as each of the three main characters (each with their own storyline). The concept of an RPG with Disney characters is genius. The gameplay is simple and the boss battles are enjoyable. I love the way that each boss is representative of its respective world/disney story/universe. The game is challenging, yet ultimately very worthwhile.

> 24 hourI bought this game for my girlfriend as a gift because she loves the Kingdom Hearts series. Its a very solid title and works well in the Kingdom Hearts universe. Its about as good as you can ask a handheld Kingdom Hearts game to be.

> 24 hourKingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep just might be the best-playing game in the entire series so far. It takes the fluid, dynamic battle system from Kingdom Hearts II and layers on top of it an ability system that is wholly borrowed from Crisis Core: FFVII. Beating up Heartless with a Keyblade has never been more pleasurable: the game just FEELS good. The overarching narrative, told through three independent-but-intertwining campaigns (shout out to Suikoden III!), offers some superb backstory for the original trilogy and creates a trio of protagonists who have compelling arcs in which you want to invest. On the downside, however, the integration of these original stories with the Disney narratives upon which theyre superimposed is just about the flimsiest in the whole series--one WANTS to care about the Disney worlds, but one has to try really, really hard to even come close. If youre even a smidge invested in the Kingdom Hearts mythos, this game is enormously rewarding (though most of your narrative payoff will come at the end of each of the campaigns). If you like a good action game with lots of fun, varied abilities, this game will please you through and through (and you can feel comfortable skipping the cutscenes). If neither of the above applies to you, you probably ought to look elsewhere.

> 24 hourI have been following the series since KH1, and this is a great addition to the series. Product came extremely fast. I had trouble originally because from the other seller I have trying to get this game from. Bought this game for a friend who is catching up on the series. So far she is loving it!

> 24 hourI was late to the party with the Kingdom Hearts hype. All of my friends were recommending that I buy and play the game ... so I bought this one. I have to say, I played it through--with all three of the main characters and was pretty unimpressed. Movement and controls were perfect, but story-line was lacking. I didnt feel anything for the characters nor did I connect with any of their stories. Also, I felt that each journey to a different Disney adventure was forced and jumpy and had no purpose. The graphics are fantastic, the characters all look great ... but, again, the story was just ... ugh. Im glad I played the game, but its a one-time play--not a game Id pick up again.

> 24 hourI wouldnt consider myself a gamer. Sure, I have a PS2 at home with a dozen or so games acquired by my dad, but many of them have hardly been touched since weve bought them and are just collecting dust on one of our shelves. Most of these are sports games too, or car racing games for my brother, and - dont get me wrong, he loves them, but it gets kind of boring when you play the same thing over and over again. So none of us are avid gamers. That all changed when we got the first Kingdom Hearts game. For a person who had never heard of Final Fantasy or other RPG games before, it was mind-blowing. The graphics were amazing, the storyline was engaging and original, and overall, it was just plain fun. Its also the only game that my brother and I are willing to play over and over and over again, because the story never gets old. The sequels only get better from there, and Birth By Sleep is no exception. Technically, the game is regarded as Kingdom Hearts 0, since its story precedes the first game, but whatever. Its slightly different from the original in that it has better camera control and reaction commands (triggered by the triangle button), which carry over from the gameplay from Kingdom Hearts II, but in all honesty, that makes it much, much better (and a lot more fun). Reaction commands in particular change up the way your character fight, and it adds a lot more dimension to the battle so that you arent just doing a three-hit combo every time, which is what the original game offered. And the camera fix was a big plus, since its now near impossible to have your view obscured by some obstacle during battle (believe me, this can get really frustrating). Theres also the added bonus that one of the main characters (Ventus) looks like Roxas. If youve followed the series, youll know that Roxas shows up in Kingdom Hearts II as a playable character only in the beginning, and there were a ton of fans who wished he stayed that way. Although they arent the same people, playing as Ventus does alleviate this desire a bit. All in all, its a great buy, and Id recommend the game to anyone, even if they havent played anything else in the series before. The thing is, its fairly long, so just make sure youve got time for all of it.

> 24 hourWhen I first heard of this game last year I was so excited I wanted it to come out right away but I knew I would have to be pationt. I am a big fan of the Kingdom Hearts Series that I really wanted this game since I already have KH1 and 2 and even KH Re: Chain of Memoryies (dont have a GB). I was a little pressed for cash to get it pre-orderd but it didnt matter, as much as I love the series I wasnt about to jump in just yet I didnt want to spend good money that might end up being a flop so I waited out for the reviews. After a week or so with great reviews I decided it was now or never. Wanting to experance the full thing I went ahead and orderd a version that would be previously pre-orderd so I would get the decal sticker and everything. It cost about $20 more but I didnt mind now, I had the money to spare. I have only had it for a few days and I admit I havnt even finished Terras story yet, mostly because Im at the end of his now and I want to get caught up on some things like getting loot and other stuff before I finish his story. But I just love the story so far and the gaming experance itselfe. I also have componet cables so I can play from my TV which is a dream. My friends say Im picky with the games I play, for me it has to have decent graphics and a good story and half the time the PSP games Ive looked at it is one or the other, no happy medium untill now. So I am really happy I got this game and chances are I am going to be playing it to the ground just because its the best PSP game I have at the moment. But anyway if you want a game for the PSP with great grahics and a great story then this is deffinatly the right one to get.
